2015 in Review
December 28, 2015

2015 was a great year for me. I encountered many new experiences, had many great adventures, and enjoyed good vibes. There were some down’s, but it’s an experience that we should learn from. My school, work, and social balance was on point where I didn’t feel that I overdid any region. I pretty much kept myself moderately busy while having some free time for an afternoon nap.

I’d like to thank everyone who have been keeping up with my blog throughout the months/years! It’s great to read experiences from others, exchange feedback, and share some of my own. Seeing how people develop themselves through career advancements, hobbies, school, and etc. throughout the months/years is pretty exciting. Let people do what they want to do and if you don’t like what they’re doing, don’t do it yourself ;).

A Few Milestones
  • Celebrated my 1st full year of working
  • Happy 3 year anniversary ft. boyfriend
  • Finished my 3rd year of college
  • Turned 21 – turn down for what?!
Goals for 2015
  • On the Road to a Music Festival: Escape Halloween: Psycho Circus.
  • Roadtrippin’: Spring Break ft. Yosemite and San Francisco.
  • Bettering My Appetite: I started eating more vegetables/fruits and cut back on red meat and carbs.
  • Journaling My Budget: I didn’t exactly journal my budget. I relied on Mint and still didn’t exceed my weekly budget (unless it’s under a special circumstance like buying a new phone).
  • Security+ for a Safer Future: Procrastination at its finest! At the most, I went through 3 chapters of the book ;~;. Maybe this is a sign for me to shift gears to an actual meaningful certification like CISSP. . .
  • Build Credit Myself: I’ve used my credit card for a year now and saw my credit score on the higher end. Hurray!
  • Pick 15 Pins: For sure, I ended up cooking up 7 out of the 15 meals that I pinned on Pinterest. The other ~8 recipes came from food blogs from my Bloglovin’ lurking over the summer. Not bad, I guess.
  • Dress NicerMission Success if you compare a to b.
  • Vroom Vroom: Out of the 3 main muscle cars, I ended up giving the 2015 Mustang a test drive. I love how the car drives but I’m not too fond of the interior design. The 5th gen Camaro (2016+) looks more promising!

I liked the Journaling my Budget bit because I need help on that one as well. Want to budget better in 2016 too!

This is such a great post Nancy! Unfortunately for me, I didn’t think my 2015 was as good as yours and I hardly hit as much goals as you! I’m definitely doing this for 2016 though. I’m so happy that this year has been great for you, thank you for bringing us all with you on your journey! I always love reading your blogs – in fact one of my favourite visits for sure 😉

    Have a fabulous 2016!

Yay, I’m glad 2015 was a good year for you! Looks like you did well on most of your goals, and that’s great that you were able to balance school, work, and social life 🙂 That’s a very tough thing to do. Congrats on reaching your first full year of working too!

I remember many of the events in your recap from your blog entries! I hope 2016 will be great for you too!

I love that you are appreciating little things like, ‘Saw Star Wars’ (which was completely amazing!!) and ‘dressed as a ninja’ rather than just talking about huge life changes like most bloggers seem to be doing. It’s these little things that add up and make life great!

Glad you enjoyed 2015, and I hope you have a happy and safe 2016 🙂

Awesome to see everyone moving up. How did you like presenting at the research conference. I have done that a couple of times and I always consider it an honor. What was you research on? Cybersecurity pehaps?

I hope you have a great New Year Nancy in about 6 to 7 hours. 🙂

Sounds like you had an AWESOME 2015, with all your loves and hobbies – boyfriend, zoos, cars, food, work – well-fed (haha) throughout the year. 😀

I only got a credit card this year but I have been super good with it! I have to admit it’s nice to pay for what you buy a little bit later, I mean I usually have the money I need to buy expensive things, but credit cards are a good sort of backup. And I am getting obsessed with trying to get heaps of points LOL.

Dress nicer – I think you did literally with all the dresses! 🙂 I have found that dressing more ‘elegantly’ makes me feel more like a lady… which I used to think was ‘blah’ but it does give me a boost of confidence, personally. And it leaves a good impression on others most of the time if you are well dressed.
