A-April
April 13, 2013

I’m finally on spring break!! It’s unbelievable that I’m in the middle of the semester already with only 8.5 weeks to go (including spring break and finals week). And we’re halfway through April!!

Last week, I had a busy week with all of the tests/exams/midterms to go through. Without a further ado, here are the results:

Statistics: 78%
Philosophy: 55.8%
Anthropology: 78.75%
Economics: 81.6% (before the curve)
Music: 98%
Speech: 88%

I totally bombed my philosophy test, which was expected since I didn’t really have a chance to fully study. At this point, the highest grade I could get for the class is a B. I hope I can ace the rest of my classes so my overall GPA doesn’t drop. I thought I would do better in Anthropology but it seems like the multiple choice questions threw me off; but at least I got a perfect score for my punnett square problems with the genotypes and phenotypes :D.

As bummed out as I am about my grade for the statistics exam, I guess it wasn’t too bad. After calculating my possible grades multiple times, I thought my current grade for the class would be an 89.63%. My instructor gave us a progress report and it turns out that I have a 91% instead. I don’t know where I messed up in calculating my possible grade, but hey- it’s still an A!  As for Economics, I didn’t expect my grade to be an 81% considering how I thought I messed up in the first half of the midterm- especially before the curve. Either way, I’m happy with the results since it brings my hopes up in possibly acing the class.

Aside from that academic stuff, I had my fair share of socializing this past week. During the couple of hours between classes, I usually hang out with people; which is a lot better than playing Angry Birds. My boyfriend also dropped by on Wednesday to have a snack with me at Panera Bread (: {Instagram}.

My first day of spring break was a day delightfully spent with my boyfriend. We had a good variety of food going around throughout the day. We had Vietnamese sandwiches during the early afternoon. I made some Che Thai (Vietnamese dessert) along the way and it was pretty good. Later on, we had some delicious homemade pizza {Instagram} and ended the day by watching The Avengers. Speaking of which…. Iron Man 3 comes out in 19 days!!!

Ouch at the philosophy test! Good luck on the rest of the year with the grades. 🙂

Your spring break is much later than other spring breaks I have heard of! I love homemade pizza… Or, really, ANY pizza… I really miss eating some.

I hope you have a lovely spring break 🙂

Oh no, that’s too bad about your philosophy test 🙁 I hope you’ll be able to recover from that. Congrats on some of your other grades though! Your music score is really high! I’m glad that you’ll be getting an A in Stat too.

Your homemade pizzas look so good! I’ve been wanting to make my own pizza dough, but I haven’t tried it yet.

I’m excited for Iron Man 3 too!

Ouch on the philosophy test, but the rest of your grades look great and you can easily balance it out! Congrats on Stats too – I had a ton of trouble with it back when I was in college, so your grades are impressive!

Sounds like you’re off to a great start of spring break, hope the rest of the week is just as good! Now that you mention it, I’m super craving banh mi right now, haha.

Ouch, that philosophy test doesn’t look so good but from what I’m seeing, you did a great job with everything else. You did your best and that is what counts in the end.

Anyhow, I’m glad your boyfriend stopped on by and that you’re enjoying your spring break. Yeah, I can’t believe Iron 3 is soon. I’m sort of on the fence about it because Iron Man 2 wasn’t that good. I just don’t want to be disappointed again.

My sister was telling me that when you’re taking a multiple choice exam if you don’t know the answer always go with C her nursing teacher told her that and apparently it’s legit Lol you could try that next time for your philosophy who knows it could work

I hope you have a nice Spring Break, make sure to enjoy it before it’s all over and goes by quickly 🙂

Holy shiz! Are you taking 6 classes?! Dayum! How are you handling all of them. I’ve been only taking 3-4 classes each quarter and that’s a full time status. But study hard in that Philosophy class!

Have a great rest of Spring Break! It’s almost going to end! 🙁

Your spring break is pretty late. But I think you started the semester later than I did.

You take 6 classes?!! How is that possible?!

I know you’ll get a B in philosophy! Your grades are too good so you don’t even need to worry! You did so well on 3 of those exams!

In my hours between classes I either socialize or do a little reading so there’s less to do at home!

It seems you spent your spring break having fun instead of being online because it’s the 19th. Spring break is for short enjoyment! But I think to feel good we need a longer break than that.

I do have genuine feelings for him, but I won’t say any more on my comment lol.

Yes Asian parents do want their kids to marry Asian Americans, and Mingyun’s parents want that too. But they think I’m white. They don’t think my Korean ancestry counts at all though I live with my mom rather than my dad (they are not divorced).

The balance of culture makes you pick out the good and the bad! In all cultures there are good and bad. I don’t like people who think their own culture is all good.

Lol I can’t imagine a girl saying to her boyfriend hey I got an F in my class now go do something.

    Take care!

Whaaat! Your grades are amazing! If I had half of those grades when I was in school I’d be laughing! Though thankfully I never took philosophy. I find that subject to be a bit of a wash anyway! That Panera Bread food looks uhhhmazing!
