A Summary of 2012
December 29, 2012

2012 was an interesting year, to say the least. I am doing a lot better this year than last year in many aspects of my life. As far as education goes, I’m earning better grades this year compared to the previous years. After having a long talk with my counselor last year, I had a bigger motivation to earn better grades than the “average student”. Since then, my goal was to aim for a 3.5+ GPA (I was that 3.1~3.5 GPA student before). Although that talk with my counselor happened a little too late into high school, it’s still fresh in my mind and I’m not burnt out from overloading my brain (everyone has limits, believe it or not).

Speaking of which, I finally received my grade for Accounting. After weeks of believing that I would get a C in the class even with many calculations of my possible grade, I ended up receiving a B. I am extremely happy with the outcome regardless. Concluding the semester, I got 3 A’s and 1 B which is a 3.688 GPA. That established goal mentioned in the previous paragraph is achieved once again. I’m hoping to do just as good or better in the upcoming Spring semester.

This year, I graduated from high school this past May with honors and left the band with pride as a member of leadership and section leader (although I was playing the bass clarinet on my own, I still led the clarinets during the year). Because of band, I had many wonderful opportunities come my way such as going to Vegas and finally getting that superior after participating in festivals for 5 years. Not to mention, I was also the yearbook editor while managing 20% of the entire yearbook. I am pretty satisfied with the work I produced. And now, I’m a freshman in college.

As for friendships, I still have a few group of friends. Most of us are going our separate ways considering how we’re moving on to the next stage in life after high school. With some ‘old’ friends kept, new friendships are being made from all sorts of places.

I am pretty active when it comes to blogging this year. Even though my post archives only shows posts since the beginning of my junior year, I started blogging back in 8th grade (mostly because the people I hung out with blogged, so why not?). Except I didn’t bother blogging as much until 9th/10th grade. I got to the point where I had the pleasure in giving weekly presentations to a freshman English class last fall on the “etiquette” of blogging and commenting.

I had the chance to attend a few events here and there this year such as the West Coast Conference (Vegas), Relay for Life, X Fest, Cyber Camp, and a friend’s wedding.

In addition, I’m in a happy relationship where everything is working out just right ^_^. We went through plenty of adventures this year and the experiences that come with it are all memorable. We’re on a roll like a boss we both are :D.

There were times during the year where I was stuck in situations that I wished I wasn’t involved in.. Which I didn’t really bothered mentioning much of it specifically. But overall, I am a happier person this year. I’m looking forward to an even better year next year and the years to come.

Wrapping up this post, here are some pictures covering some ‘stuff’ of 2012.

Aw, it looks like 2012 was a really good year for you. 🙂 It had a lot of big changes, as did mine, but I think you handled them really well. Congrats on the great grades and GPA!

It looks like you have a lot of fun memories to look back on. I hope 2013 is just as good, if not better. 🙂

This year was a good year for you. Hopefully next year will be the same.

And at least one of us has a relationship that’s worked out. Ugh. I’m ready for this year to be finished so I can hopefully have a better year. It’s not been the best for me and well I just want to sleep until it’s over.

Ahh, I still need to blog and reminiscence my experiences of 2012. 🙂

2012 seems to have been a wonderful year for you. After following your blog for a while, it’s obvious that you’ve become more ambitious and determined. I love reminiscing blogs like these because they can show how you’ve grown, not to mention the exciting or significant events that have happened. Life is going well for you, and I hope that you’ll have an awesome 2013, too. 😀

I’m glad your grades improved.. Nothing like earning a good grade. I always set high expectations but I’ll accept a C or a D every once in a while – as long as I pass the class 😉

3 A’s and a B is fantastic! Congrats! 🙂 The blogging world is interesting and a lot more work than people usually think it is. It’s cool you got a chance to do a presentation on it! Cute photos btw, especially the one where you’re posing next to the soldier 😛 and good luck with your relationship. glad to hear things are going well !

I just finished up a similar end-of-the-year blog post lol at my site. I’m glad you accomplished your goal! That’s great! I admit I probably could have done better…and yea, the friendships you had in high school will probably fizzle out…sadly. At least, that’s what happened to me…I hope you have 1 or 2 that will still stay connected with you though. There’s always facebook too of course lol. I have NOT been active in blogging lol but I really am trying..I need to have the discipline. Because I know I want to blog and have a ton of things to say but then I never make time…but I should; because I always end up feeling so much better afterwards.

CONGRATS in your relationship! Not too many people can say that …I’m happy for you and I wish you two the best.  Also, I hope your new year is amazing, and I hope that this year brings you better things than the previous years. !!!

You and your boyfriend look so amazingly adorable together! It’s good that to hear that you guys are in a happy relationship, please try to keep it that way ( mine, of 4 years, just kind of ended…eek =( ).

I don’t really keep in touch with most of my friends from high school. I think you’ll definitely make more new friends in the new year.

I think 2013 will be a hell of an awesome year for you, assuming that you’re going to start college for the first time.
