I can’t believe there are only two days left of school and I’m finished for the semester! This semester went by pretty quick and I enjoyed it to an extent. Even though I haven’t gotten the full experience yet (like pulling an all-nighter), I will get there eventually. This is a start of many semesters and years to come of “higher education”.

On Monday, I had an Annual Report presentation for Accounting. My group was responsible for creating an annual report for Dunkin’ Brands (the company who franchises Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins) and it was successful. Everyone contributed to the project in their own ways and we did a pretty good job with the presentation. We even went “beyond the expectations” and brought the class donuts and made brochures.

When Tuesday came, I had another presentation for my English class. In this case, we had to make a zine relating to anything in Los Angeles. My group chose the topic of whether the Clippers or Lakers “own” Los Angeles Basketball. I believe it was also a success as well considering how the design of the zine looked pretty good.

Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday… I took my first of many finals on Wednesday for Political Science. I basically had to write an essay arguing whether the United States is or is not democratic with using examples from the textbook and a novel. I personally argued that the United States does achieve democracy through the Presidency and News Media. In an hour, I wrote 9 1/2 pages worth of information and I do hope I earned an A because I’m right on the borderline between an A and B in that class.

For the last school day of the week, I had my Computer Science/Info Systems final yesterday (Thursday). This was a 150-question final and I finished it in 22 minutes and 6 seconds. It turns out that I got 3 questions legitimately wrong which lead me into getting a 98% on the final. I’m completely fine with it since it gives me a solid A in the class. If you’re wondering why I bothered rushing through the final; I really wanted fries from In-N-Out Burgers after class… And I did get fries after all and enjoyed it.

On Wednesday after my Political Science final, my boyfriend and I went to have dinner at Island’s and visited the Griffith Observatory right after. This was another memorable experience added to the book. There is so much to the observatory; I had a great view of the west Los Angeles area from the mountain view on top as well as exploring the inside that features space and science displays. We also went to a planetarium show at the observatory and watched “Time’s Up”; which explains how the world is not going to end on December 21, 2012. And before we ended the night, we went to In-N-Out burgers for some of their fries.

Then today, we went to tour along the streets of downtown in Santa Monica. It was another memorable experience because it was relaxing and there was much to see. We also had the pleasure of eating frozen yogurt twice within two hours. We first had frozen yogurt at Tutti Frutti with flavored frozen yogurts with dozens of toppings. And a little later, we stopped by Pinkberry for their strawberry and mango greek yogurt. Both were delicious in their own ways. I enjoyed the whole day all together.

I had a really busy week and I still have two more finals to come on Monday and Tuesday. And after that, my winter break can finally start!

You definitely had a busy week! I’m glad your Dunkin’ Brand report came out well and that the whole group worked well! I’ve had groups where we always had that one or two person make things difficult for the whole group. Because of that, I am not very fond of group projects, especially for school. Ugh. Good to see that yours went well!

Good luck with the remaining of your exams! Sounds like you are going to rock your first semester of uni!

I hope our professor doesn’t make us do a presentation for our accounting class. Not sure if it would be successful since I’m an online student anyway. Lol. I honestly don’t know enough about accounting to do a great job on a presentation, or even on my final exam. I’m a little hesitant about taking my final exam.

Now on the other hand, my management class, our professor went over the questions with us and what we actually need to study. I feel more confident about this final exam.

I don’t like essays either. I always run out of words to say. Ugh! I struggle with this. Thank God I’m actually majoring in a career where I have a choice on NOT WRITING but a simple contract for a client 🙂 That sounds so much better. I actually hate learning about stuff that I’ll never use in real life situations.

Frozen yogurt! *YUM* Sounds delicious! I used to be in love with strawberry frozen yogurt ice cream! If you ever have the chance to taste it, please do! Very tasty!

Have fun on your winter break! Enjoy it as much as you can girl! 🙂

You semester should be over by now, so let me be the first to congratulate you with HAPPY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS.

Look forward to future all-nighters! There will be many…

And awesome how well your presentations went! Your group sounds great. I can never work in a group ;___; I’m always the one stuck with loads to do…

I’m sure when you pull an all-nighter it will be less fun then when I pull an all-nighter – which is either after a concert or catching up on new music. Ha ha.

Glad to hear everyone in your group for your Accounting class were able to put something into the project. Every so often you get a group for a project and there always seems to be one person who does nothing.

I’m sure your grade on your Political Science final will help your grade. Being in the “in-between” and needing a final to help figure out which side you will fall on is never fun.

I found a frozen yogurt place just north of where I live. I went there once with friends but didn’t get any – they do carry dairy free! I really want to go back at some point, I wasn’t feeling great and didn’t want to get any.

My shoe size, I mean size 2 in girls. I can’t shop in the women section. 🙁 So I can’t get “adult” looking shoes, but I can get some great cartoon character shoes. Haha.

Ooh! I want to be in your class. I want donuts! 😛 Haha…I am a HUGE donut fanatic?

LOL. You were worried about In-N-Out during your finals? I have those moments. I was craving for Panera Bread during one of my morning finals and went to get it afterwards. 🙂

Looks like you’ve done a great job for your first semester in college. Better than me! Good luck on your last two finals! Kick ass!

Wow, you certainly did a lot! It sounded like you had fun at the Observatory and beyond. Also I’m glad you did good on your presentations and finals. Wow, 9 1/2 pages in an hour. You really were zipping through it. That’s good that you did good on your finals.

    I knew you would!

Good luck on your other two finals! Hope you enjoy your winter break!

I had no idea Dunkin’ Donuts franchised Baskin Robins as well! I just learned something new! AHA!

I’m glad you were able to get to do something fun at least! I’m wanting that pumpkin frozen yogurt as it is that time of year where Frozen Yogurts have it out now. But alas, I have no money!!! So I can’t any unless I go on a date – which hasn’t happened at all lately since I broke up with Ramon. Way back in October. And I’ve had maybe one date which sucked. But eh –

Anyway – I’m wanting to do my classes – and I had my registration date but the classes for Spring aren’t even out yet! How bizarre is that?! I’m just wondering if I should hold off ya know? I think I’d rather volunteer than anything.

Anyway – my friend carrie is throwing a give away – you should check out her domain. – http://www.ilovebeingonline.com

Pinkberry ftw! 😀 Good luck with the rest of your finals! The feeling of being finished with exams is oh so rewarding. It’s nice to hear that you’re having some downtime with awesome people to balance out hectic finals week!

I hope your finals this week turned out just as well.

It’s always great to hear when your projects turn out right. Sometimes I can get frustrated if the teacher doesn’t communicate exactly what she wanted from the project and then having that reflect in my grade.Being labeled ‘beyond expectations’ is always good!

Sounds like a great date night. ^_^ You’ve been raving about those fries on twitter lately, I must go and see what you are talking about for myself one of these days. ^_^

I’m so glad this semester’s over because second semester is going to be so much more relaxing for me since colleges usually don’t care about second semester unless there’s a huge change in grades. I had to study really hard for my finals because I never do good on them – they usually bring my grades down by one or two points, and I’ve been having borderline grades. BUT NOW I’M FREE. 😀 I get to exempt finals next semester, too.

I think you did well on your Political Science final if you really went in-depth and had a ton of analysis. Good luck with the rest of your finals!

I haven’t had frozen yogurt in a while…I’m craving for it now.
