Baked Fancies
January 30, 2013

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already… Not only that, it’s the 30th of January! It has been a while since I shopped for myself and I’m a really picky shopper. I don’t mind spending money if the things I want fit my specifications. With that said, I bought myself one of those canvas backpacks from Urban Outfitters I wanted for over a year. I will look forward to it whenever it ships to my house.

As for the unit test I took last week, the curve bumped my 83% to an A. I have a final to take tomorrow and I definitely have to study since I need to memorize the sequence in some of the topics within the unit. Considering how tomorrow is the last day of the Winter session, it’s probably my last chance in getting Yogurtland. There are 2 1/2 weeks until the Spring semester starts and I have to find time to buy a parking permit sometime early next week.

My week has been decent so far. On Monday, I had lunch with a friend at Porto’s Bakery. This is my favorite place to grab a quick bite except I tend to over-order since everything looks so delicious there! This time, I thought I ordered a decent portion except I didn’t finish the fruit tart and the strawberry-banana smoothie until I got to school an hour or so later… If you’re curious about how much I ordered, a picture of it was posted on Instagram.

My aunt is coming from Hong Kong to visit for a little over a week next Thursday which might keep me busy for what I have left of Winter break. And on a side note, I really have to start getting used to waking up at 5:30 am when school starts because of my 7:30 am classes. I don’t mind since I never had a problem with being a morning person before.

    Doesn’t it feel like January just flew by?! I’m starting to think this year’s going to be a fast one.

    The canvas backpack is super cute! I love that style. I think I ordered something similar to it, but less pockets and in black from YesStyle. Still waiting for it to get here whenever it leaves the warehouse. @___@

    Lots of luck with the final! Yay for curves that help 😀

    Mmm, Porto’s is so good. I do what you do too. I always overestimate how hungry I am and end up with leftovers. ;-;

    Ooh, I like the look of canvas backpacks. If I still used backpacks, I’d probably buy one too 🙂 I carry messenger style bags now since I just take a laptop to and from work.

    Congrats on getting an A on your test! And good luck on your final!

    Yum, the food you ordered looks delicious. I’ve actually been to Porto’s before! It was when I was visiting family in LA. I was amazed at how good everything looked, and how much stuff they had.

    I’m a picky shopper too! But when you find that perfect item you’ve been searching for, it’s so worth it :oD

    Good luck on your exam tomorrow! Last thing to get through before your break!

    That canvas backpack will most definitely hold everything you will ever need! I love using big backpacks for when I travel or when I was in school. It was much better than carting around all my stuff in a shoulder bag and putting all that weight on only one shoulder!

    The week sure does fly by sometimes, right? I feel like this year is going to go by quickly. Holy crap, congrats on getting such a good score. I’ve never been able to do that, you must have gotten it damn near perfect in order for it to go so high, ; – ; I’m jelly. As for Yogurtland, is it a chainstore? or a mom and pop one? The stuff you get sounds delicious~

    Do you have any idea as to what you’re gonna do with your aunt? Sight seeing, maybe? Have fun~

    Your canvas backpack looks cute. I want one. 🙂

    Shopping is a minor risk for me since I don’t want to spend on something I would use once and give away after some time. Bad shopping habits. Errr.

    Congrats on getting an A! Ahhh, it’s really refreshing getting a big improvement from the previous records you’ve had before, especially on that 83%. Keep it up! 🙂

    Right now it’s already February!! It’s really going fast. For you know it, it’s already 2014. But nice backpack, I love the colors.

    Your… meal? at Porto’s Bakery looks so yummy! Now I want to have a smoothie too. 🙂

    Your classes starts at 7:30 am?!! That’s soo early! All my classes started on at least 8:30 am. Glad I’m no longer a student anymore.

    I’m drooling over the foods. They don’t really make any picture-worthy servings around here ;A;

    Congratultions on getting an A. Keep it up 🙂

    And aww. I think getting up on 5:30 is pure torture – whether you’re a morning person or not. Especially if it’s this cold. T.T Good luck.

    I hope you had fun with your aunt 😉

    I’ve always wanted a canvas backpack like that but they are always way too big for me and it looks like I’m going hiking instead of just to university. Ah, to dream.

    Congrats on being bumped up to an A 😀 How did your final go? I’m assuming you’ve done it by now. I bet you did awesome! Hmm, the things you ordered look yummy. I’m hungry now – lucky I’m going out to eat in a bit 😛

    7:30am?! You poor thing. I feel tired just thinking about getting up at that time. Haha.

    Ooh, the canvas backpack looks cute!

    Do you mean winter season or vacation? Winter doesn’t end until the twentieth of March season-wise.

    It’s too bad Porto’s Bakery only exists in California! If I ever get a chance to go, I’ll have to make sure to check it out! I’d probably over order as well, even though I’m [most likely] allergic to their entire menu. The coffee bean cup thing looks really delicious. :p

    Does it take you a while to get to your classes or something? Or just a while to get ready?
