Week I of Bronconess
October 7, 2015

My classes are going great so far! I’m enjoying my two security classes the most because it’s related to my field of interest. The great thing about internet security is that the course goes over whatever is in my Security+ book. On the other hand, network security is really useful when having to set up a network using Cisco. Setting up routers and switches through Cisco can be a bit confusing at first but it gets easier after a while. Check this out:

Router-1 # config terminal
Router-1(config) # interface FastEthernet 0/0
Router-1(config) # ip add 192.168.20.254 255.255.255.0

This set of commands basically sets up the IP to the first ethernet slot on the router, which is part of my lab assignment. Fun stuff~

Tara is super sweet for sending me an Ardium planner for the new school year! I’ve been using Ardium planners for a couple of years now and it’s really reliable and cute! I like this layout a lot better because I can easily list out what I need to do (or should watch) for a specific day.

Last Friday, my boyfriend was busy so we didn’t have our usual FriDate. Even thought he was gone, he left a pot of orchid on my table ♥. I ended up going on a “self-date” where I treated myself to an uni bowl for dinner. The last time I had an uni bowl was back in June *o*. I went to my usual place and the uni bowl tasted just as amazing as I remembered. Maybe next time, I’ll be more adventurous and try a different uni bowl I found elsewhere ;).

This year, I’m trying to cook prepare more veggie meals and I’m doing great so far! At most, I cooked salmon once a week as a side in the meal but it’s huge improvement. As far as pricing goes, it’s a bit cheaper because I don’t need to buy that much “meat” products. While we’re on the topic about food, Sprinkles Cupcakes is still my weakness.

Now for the pictorial goodies~

Yay, I’m glad your classes are going well and that you’re enjoying them! That’s also really nice of Tara to send you an Ardium planner. I like the pattern on it 🙂

That’s too bad your boyfriend was too busy for your usual date. I think that’s sweet that he left you orchids though. Those are one of my favorite flowers!

I see broccoli and cauliflower in your photos. I make those two veggies a lot! Cauliflower is also handy for healthy alternatives, like mashed cauliflower or cauliflower rice. So tasty 😀

!!! A bit of a funny story about the cauliflower. I ended up cooking cauliflower fried rice for the first time today (without the rice). It’s an awesome alternative that actually tastes just as good!

I’m glad that you’re enjoying your classes 😀 IAww <3 Tara is such a sweetheart for doing that! ^^

I wish I liked veggies, but I'm trying so hard to eat healthier, but it's not easy, let me tell you.

It was nice that your boyfriend left you flowers even though he was busy. It's always sweet when a significant other does something nice out of the kindness of their heart. My husband was sweet enough to do something for me yesterday and he always does it.

WOOT! Glad you’re liking that planner! ^^ Ardium is awesome and so worth it! And your handwriting is so neat! Way neater than mine!

    It’s great your classes are going well! Seeing those router bits made me remember my two years of Cisco Networking classes in high school. Let’s just say I never got the hang of understanding networking concepts X_X;

That’s so sweet of your boyfriend for getting you that orchid! It’s good you still went on a self-date and treated yourself to a uni bowl! Do try the other uni bowl place! ^^

And good luck with cooking more veggies! I wouldn’t mind trying to cook more veggies, but I hate washing and cutting them, so I usually don’t cook them that much. Though I really should prepare them more often!

Glad to hear your classes are going great! It’s awesome when you like a class because it ‘s an interest of yours. It makes the class way more fun.

Aww, Tara is the cutest! I saw her stationery haul post and the stuff from Ardium looks so good 😀 I love planners.

*drools all over the food pics* Yay for cooking more! I’m hoping that when i settle into my new job, I can have my weekends to myself and start cooking more!

I’m glad to hear your classes are going great Nancy! Tara is super sweet for sending that planner, I’ve never heard of it before though – I’ve not actually used a planner in so long D:

Your boyfriend sounds so sweet for doing that! I love your photos, but now I’m hungry and should probably make dinner xD
