Week VIII of Bronconess
March 1, 2015

Happy March! Once again, I can’t believe how fast time flies! Especially since finals week is around two weeks away. I actually like the term being 10 weeks long, mostly because I don’t have the attention span for the 16-week terms anymore. The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy and the same will go for the next two weeks, yaaay.

I have a project for my java, database, and telecommunications class due soon. The most interesting project would probably be the telecommunications one where I have to set up a website from an Ubuntu server using Amazon Web Services. I’m a bit over halfway done; I just need to figure out to set up the mysql/php registration form from terminal.

I somehow became pretty good at listing out my “long story short adventures” so here’s another weekly dose of it:

  • I went to the same sushi restaurant twice last week with a couple of friends. My newly-found addiction for uni continues… With that in mind, my next goal is to find some place that actually have amaebi available.
  • I got to drive a newish Lexus IS250 (aka “Glorified Corolla”) for a short trip. The car is okay considering how it’s an entrance model to the whole Lexus sedan line and if you want it for regular commuting in a luxury brand. But it’s still nice to be able to test drive it!
  • My friend and I had lunch at the Japanese restaurant nearby on Monday and had an uni bowl once again.
  • My boyfriend and I went to a fundraiser Wednesday night. We got ourselves some happy hour fries, quesadilla, and Hawaiian ahi poke.
  • Another friend needed help in debugging a java program and went for ramen for dinner. On the way back, we got stuck waiting for TWO long cargo trains to cross *__*.
  • Went to watch my high school’s drumline perform at a competition on Saturday with my boyfriend. They ended up placing 2nd out of 5 in their division :D.
  • Finished watching the first season of The Affair (I don’t even know why I’m hooked to it) annnnnnd Arrow/Flash won’t be airing for another 2 weeks ;(.

Following the drumline performance, my high school band director asked me if I could give rides to students next weekend soooo guess who might go on a quick road trip to San Diego?! And If things go according to plan, I will finally give that speech/presentation on Thursday for an organization on campus. My boyfriend also invited me to host a cyber security workshop for two of his club’s upcoming events. Sounds pretty neat, though I should start working on deciding on the topic asap!

It’s always the winter quarter/term that’s the busiest!

Wow! You’ve certainly been busy! And yay for your high school placing 2nd 😀 That’s pretty impressive. I think it’s great your high school band director is asking you to go on that mini-road trip. I hope that turns out to be a blast!

Good luck with the presentation! You’ll do great!

And oooh! You’re going to host a cyber security workshop? That sounds fantastic! Can’t wait to see what your topic will be!!!

Oh snap! You aren’t kidding about it being the busiest time of the year~! That’s awesome that you get to fully experience different things a lot of the time. I’m glad you had lots and lots of fun. I always love hearing about stories, whether long or short. I’m always interested.

Sounds like you’ve been pretty busy! I can’t believe finals are so soon for you =O Good luck on your projects!

Congrats to your high school placing 2nd! I hear so many good things about Arrow and Flash. I keep meaning to check those out, but I’ve just been watching Anime instead, haha.

That’s awesome that you’re going to host a cyber security workshop! That sounds like it’d be a good experience. I hope your speech/presentation goes well too!

Happy March! Now let’s drink our tea and go insane in the Wonderland 😛
whenever someone goes “happy march!” or “wow it’s march already!” i start imagining i’m that alice in wonderland where there’s the mad hatter and march hare and we’ll have grand insane tea party or something.

    don’t mind me.

amaebi sushi is good but sometimes, i have a hard time chewing the shrimp without eating the tail…get what i mean? i mean it’s all chewy right so to bite it off and only leave the tail can be pretty annoying sometimes 😛 that’s why i always avoid amaebi in sushi restaurant and go for the ones that can be eaten in one go.

believe it or not, there’s not much japanese restaurant who serves uni here. that’s sad, i know. the same for seabream. ugh, every time i watch japanese variety shows, i always drool at almost everything they put on screen! they even eat hormones and japan has grill/bbq restaurants specially dedicated for hormones or tongue! amazing eh.

my friend and i have been meaning to hang out for udon but ugh our hermit personalities always end up in us canceling and delaying the plan pfft i’m in need of half boiled egg on my udon TAT

ugh Arrow and Flash are getting so so goooddd ;w; the plot development just keeps getting better and better~ do you watch gotham too?

You have been busy! I hope that everything goes really well with setting up the website that way. I wouldn’t have any clue how to do it, but I am sure you will do an awesome job! 😀

Do not even get me started on Arrow/The Flash going on a mini break. I was all prepared to watch, and then I checked my Sidereal and it was like “No, hunny. Not today” D:

Happy March, girl! I can’t believe how fast time flies, either. Good luck in your upcoming exams – I’m 100% certain you’re going to aces them 🙂 Sounds like you had a good week and I hope you have fun in San Diego, if you go!

Ahh finals week is just creeping up on me. I agree, 10 week terms are fantastic as long as you don’t procrastinate!

Sounds like you’re quite the busy bee! I’m glad things are going so well for you ^-^ I hope that speech panned out!

I’m a little opposite, heh. I like my winter quarters nice and slow because it’s gloomy half the week here and I just want to sit all bundled up watching Netflix 😛
