Daylight Savings
March 9, 2013

I have been ridiculously busy with school and everything else lately that I haven’t found much free time for myself. I don’t really mind since I’m being productive (in a way).

I have the first exam for Statistics this upcoming Monday… Judging by the notes and homework, I should be able to survive this. I also have a test for my Music Fundamentals class on Tuesday; which should be easy since it’s basic music. Thankfully, I don’t need to study as much for that class compared to stats. In addition to that, I have to take a quiz for Anthropology sometime within the next 3 days. We’ll see how that goes.

I once again found myself doing homework and class-related stuff during most of my “free” hours between classes this week. There were a couple of days when I went out to have lunch with a friend from class. I really do hope that all of my efforts are worth it at the end. At least I got lucky this week with parking since I only spent 10 minutes at the most looking for a space. Though on Thursday, I was in a rush to get out of the parking structure after my last class. In the parking structure, a girl asked me if she can give me a ride to my parking spot. Since I parked ~10 cars down, I said no and she asked me if I could wait for her she could have my parking spot. I said sure, but I wasn’t going to wait since I was in a rush. Another girl was already waiting near my car and saw that I was going to my car. Next thing you know, those two girls were verbally fighting over my spot… And I drove off because ain’t nobody got time fo’ that.

Despite of all of the stuff going on with school, I ended my week perfectly. On my last blog post, I mentioned that I bought bowling tickets for my high school’s band fundraiser on Thursday evening. Before going to the bowling fundraiser, I had a delightful meal with my boyfriend at Panera bread. The fundraiser was supposed to start at 8:00pm but it didn’t start until after 10:00. We stuck around until 9:30 only to find out that we had to share lanes and I had to be home by around 10ish. It wasn’t a complete loss since the proceeds went to the band anyways.

Friday a long day; except it was a lot nicer since I didn’t have to go to school. I drove to the UPS store 10 miles north of my house to pick up a package then I hung out with my boyfriend’s sister at the mall. I had a fun time for sure :). Later on that day, I went to a middle school with my boyfriend to help the clarinet players from the youth orchestra and went to watch Oz: The Great and Powerful at the theaters. I definitely enjoyed watching the movie with him ^_^. Though the movie I’m looking forward to the most is Iron Man 3.

And that concludes my week. Tomorrow is Daylight Savings Time and that means time jumps an hour forward…

Seems like school is taking over all our lives again! I can’t wait for Spring Break to come at the end of the month. I’m flying home again and most likely, I will not be doing anything special. But I get to relax.

Any plans for Spring Break yet? When’s yours? Ohhs…so what was that package of yours that you picked up from UPS? But 10 miles…that’s pretty far… :

Wow, good luck with all your exams! Especially statistics, I hated that course like crazy x.x I’m lucky when it comes to parking at school – across my school is a mall that I work in so I got a parking pass from the mall and I just part across there whenever I got school so I don’t have to pay for any annual/semester fees haha. Or do I have to fight for parking spots 😛

Good luck on your exams! Also I’m glad your week ended perfectly. I’ve only ever been inside Panera bread but never ordered anything there.

Friday seemed like a good day. Dang, now I want to watch Oz: The Great and Powerful. I keep hearing that it is a good movie.

Yeah, Daylight Savings time. I’m going to miss that hour 🙁

Ahh, you’re always busy with school. At least to have something to do – better than being sitting at home doing jacksh*t.

Good luck in your upcoming exam! From the looks of it, I’m sure you’ll do awesome 🙂 Also good luck for your Music Fundamentals and Anthropology test! Luck you don’t have to study that much and you’re top of things. I always get into a frizz around exam time. Exams are NOT my thing. Guess that’s why I took a course that’s just coursework. Haha.

Kind of sucks that you had to do homework and stuff during your free time but hey-ho. It’s better to get stuff out of the way, so in the end you’ll have LOADS of free time! Lmfao at the girls fighting over your parking spot and LMFAO AT “ain’t nobody got time fo’ that” – I say that all the time 😛

I’m so happy that you’re happy with your boyfriend T_T You guys are sickeningly cute. Waaaaah. Hahaha. I hate when things start late especially when I got sh*t to do. Sheesh. Awww, and you hang out with your boyfriend’s family. SEE! CUTENESS. :'( I really want to see Oz: The Great and Powerful but I don’t know when it’s going to be released in the UK. HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW IRON MAN 3 TRAILER?! AJGFHLKDJFSLKJGL;FGK;DLKGDF, I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED.

Wow it seems like you have had a very busy, but productive week. It sounds a lot like my week– full of things to do.

I can’t believe two girls fought over your parking spot — I would have done the same thing as you. Gotten out of there!

  6. Kayla ☆ March 10, 2013 at 10:18 pm

Hahaha they actually fought over the parking spot? That’s hilarious.

Oooh I am going to see Oz: The Great and Powerful sometime this week with my mum, I’m pretty excited 🙂

Arghh I hate having to wake up “earlier” for school b/c of Daylight Savings : I never want to get out of bed haha.
Speaking of school, good luck on your exams!

Sounds like you had such a fun time on Friday! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to watch the Oz movie, too. My school recently did a musical on The Wizard of Oz and even that was preeeettyyy amazing 😛 I heard the movie’s much better in 3D than in non-3D, though? o.o

Guess what I know how to drive now! I don’t have a license yet but I’m good at driving for a newbie! Just had to mention because you talk about driving a lot.

I’ve been ridiculously busy with school too! I had two tests and a quiz and a paper due last week! =(

I always do my readings during my free hours between classes. I have a lot of them so I’m productive now.

Haha fighting over parking spots. I see that a lot in New York, so glad we have plenty of room here!

If I could attend a fundraiser held at a bowling alley I would! Sounds fun!

That’s so great you get along with your boyfriend’s sister. My brother’s girlfriend doesn’t get along with her boyfriend’s sister (aka me). She tries very hard to make me like her but always fails because she is just unlikable. I really don’t know what my brother sees in her.

    Take care!

Good luck on all of your tests and school work! I’ve seen people get mad over parking spots, so I guess that doesn’t surprise me, haha. Parking is already frustrating and a pain. I would have done the same and drove off!

I’m glad your week ended well at least 🙂 There hasn’t been anything in theaters that have interested me lately, but I am looking forward to Iron Man 3.

Sigh, changing clocks for DST is a pain. On the bright side, it’s still light outside when I leave work now!

Ugh…I hated Daylight Savings Time so much when I was in High School. It meant that I had to catch the bus in the dark. 😛 It was horrible. 🙁

But the worst part was when I read that you were taking Statistics. *shudders* That is the class standing between me and world domination. 😀 Nah, seriously, it is keeping me from getting my degree. 🙁

Best of luck with all of your tests for school. 🙂

  11. Brittney ☆ March 12, 2013 at 11:08 pm

School sounds like it is taking over your life! I hope you did well on your exam 🙂

My boyfriend and I just went to the movies and I seen the Iron Man 3 preview and it looks intense! It also seems like it has a much different mood than the previous two. I also seen the preview for the new Star Trek Into Darkness and it looks really good, I don’t know if you are into that but you should check out the preview on youtube if you are! 🙂

I’m sorry that you had to leave the event early. That stinks, but you’re right at least you had a nice meal and you were able to give the money to something you care about.

What did you have at Panera? I used to work there when I was in college and in high school so I remember a lot of the products. I loved the Sierra Turkey Sandwich!

I see students fighting over parking spaces and they tell me all the time how terrible the parking is here at the school where I work. I feel bad and I remember how inconvenient it is to have to deal with all of that drama right before class.

I have a love/hate relationship with Daylight Savings time. In the fall I love it because I get an extra hour to be lazy and use it unproductively, but then in the spring, I lose an hour and become very sad because it usually comes from my sleep. 🙁

Ooh, I’ve been wanting to see Oz. I’ve heard pretty positive reviews so I’ll have to see it! The movies I’m most looking forward to are definitely The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and the next Hobbit. 😀 SO EXCITED. But so far away…nooooo

  14. Tori ☆ March 20, 2013 at 12:23 am

It’s great to be productive. I ride that wave as often as I can catch it. I hope your tests went well! It sounds like you’re really prepared, so I can’t imagine anything but As in your future.
I’m sorry to hear about the bowling mishap. I really like to be prompt with my schedule and I usually (falsely) assume others are as well. That’s often times one of my greatest pet-peeves.
You and your boyfriend are adorable! Have you guys thought about what’s going to happen once you transfer? Are you staying close-by?
What did you think of Oz? It’s in a theater nearby, but I don’t know if it’s worth seeing in theaters.
