December Things
December 21, 2014

My grades for the fall quarter are in! This was my first quarter at Cal Poly and I managed to score a 4.0! This bumps my overall GPA to a 3.79 ☺. In addition, this was my first time working while going to school and I’m thankful for the flexible hours my work arranged for me. And more good news, I got all of the classes I need for the Winter quarter. I’m going to take Managerial Finance, Intermediate Java, Database Design & Development, and Business Telecommunications; which 3 out of 4 are core classes for CIS, finally.

For a while, I’ve been looking at watches to buy. I was never a watch person but I decided it’s time to finally get one just because. Eventually, I was stuck between two watches from Coach and chose the classier-looking one instead or the sportier-looking one with some help. After my last final the other week, I went to the Coach store twice because I wanted to look at the watch in person and think about it for a few hours. It was pretty pricey for what I can afford right now but it’s worth every penny! The watch is a nice treat for finishing the quarter ☺.

As a Christmas present opened early, my boyfriend gave me the Pandora Princess Ring ♡‿♡. I love how the ring feels and looks so it’s a plus!

On Friday, my work had a Christmas party during lunch and the vice presidents of each department passed out letters to their employees. In the letter, there were 4 $50 gift cards!! I got two for California Pizza Kitchen and two for Banana Republic. I ended up trading one of my CPK gift cards for a Cheesecake Factory gift card. Well, I guess I have an excuse to go shopping at Banana Republic now!

After waiting so long, I finally caved in and bought Need for Speed Rivals. I played a couple of games and I’m liking the new features from Most Wanted so far. There are some features I’m not used to but I can adjust to them with time. In the game, you can choose to play as a racer or cop and I chose to be a racer. The only cars I’m eager to drive are the 3 ponies and the AMG series. Perfect time to get sucked into the game, eh?

As our 29th month and Christmas dinner, my boyfriend took me to P.F. Cheng’s last Friday. It was my first time eating there and it was a pretty good place! We ordered a vegetarian lettuce wrap, eggdrop soup, crispy honey shrimp, and shrimp pad thai.

Happy holidays!

Congratulations on your grades, that is really awesome. I hope you also enjoy the classes you will be doing. 😀

I have never really been a watch person, but that one is very nice. The ring is absolutely adorable and that was such a lovely gift! 😀

holy burrito a GPA that high. what the heck is your brain made of. did you keep all the genius inside the cuticles of that long black locks of yours wth

if you’re a CIS, that means you’re in computer info system so… WHY DO I ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU IN CS. all this time, i always remember you as a comp science student? whuuuut

i’m not a huge fan of watches either so maybe that’s why i only have one from icewatch that’s working. okay, i might have lied. i used to buy few odm watches just because i was obsessed with them and now that they’re dead, i only have icewatch working. heh, speaking of watches, i want one that’s black; the one that screams badass – like those from G-shock or Police :)) for watches, i always prefer those that look more badass instead of girly and sophisticated 😛 if that even makes sense..

shrimp pad thai’s gotta be awesome!! ugh i love pad thai. it’s a must have whenever i’m having thai food on the table *o* no pad thai, no thai food.

My brain is made out of sashimi-grade salmon and a few spoonful of ikura!

;~; I wish I was mathematically smart for CS or CE!!! I like simple math but once you add a bunch of Greek stuff into it (sigma and that d thing is enough), everything is confusing!!!!!!!!!!!!! G-shock watches are great!! They last forever from what I’ve seen so far (news to develop).

Great job on your grades! Your hard work has paid off!

And that watch looks great! It’s very classically-inclined, but so beautiful and elegant!

Your boyfriend has great taste, by the way. That ring is so cute!

Also, I am so envious that you got four $50 gift cards! Those are a steal! My organisation cannot gift anything that’s more than $10, so wow!

Anyway, happy holidays to you, Nancy! You have a blast! <3

    Merry Christmas!

Those gifts look amazing! I’m happy for you, truly. I’m glad you got your grades in! WOOT!

The only watch I own is the Pebble smartwatch. I can’t go back to regular watches again. Lol

Congratulations on your results. 🙂 It’s great that you managed to keep up with studying while working.

Love the watch! I haven’t worn a watch in years, but like you I think it’s time I finally got one. I currently just rely on my phone.

Ooo the lettuce wrap looks tasty.

Congratulations on the awesome grades! All of your hard work is paying off – and so happy that you were able to get so many classes that you need for your major. 🙂

I love your new watch. Coach is such a classic, timeless place and you did such an excellent job. 🙂

Your new ring is gorgeous! Your boyfriend’s such a sweetheart for buying it for you.

I’m pretty sure that you can use gift cards online – so you might want to check out Banana Republic’s factory store. 😀

Uhm…I’m pretty sure that there used to be a P.F. Cheng’s near me but it closed for some reason. But the food there is yummeh! 🙂

Congrats on the grades! That’s awesome! I’m glad you were able to get the classes you need too 🙂

The watch is beautiful! I’m not much of a watch person either, but I think it’s nice to have one to wear, especially one that you like. Your boyfriend is also sweet to get you such a pretty ring!

Wow, 4 $50 gift cards is a lot. What a nice company! I would love to have those Banana Republic ones 😉

    Merry Christmas!

Everyone at my work wanted the Banana Republic cards too except no one wanted to trade their Cheesecake Factory cards for it ;~;. Happy Holidays to you too, Cat ♥

Fancy new watch! I too got a watch this Christmas. 🙂 They’re great gifts & you deserve an expensive watch for all your hard work at school. Congrats! No shame in that. 🙂 After buying about 3 $20 watches that look fancy, investing in a watch that costs 10-15 times that is definitely worth it because…um obviously they last longer & are water resistant hahaha. Take care of that thing!

I’ve only been to PF Chang’s once & it didn’t strike me as a place I’d revisit. Not a fan of Americanized Pan-Asian food. I recall the waiter telling me not to look at the nutritional facts when I ordered. Christ, the salads were thousands of calories, it was crazy. Not for me, but at least you enjoyed it & that’s all that matters!! 🙂
