Discovering Reality
June 24, 2016

One of the perks of blogging are the friendships that form through interaction. I always liked the idea of meeting bloggers in person and it has been a great experience so far. If you ever drop by LA and want to meet, holla at me!

Last week, Chynna dropped by Los Angeles during her vacation for a couple of days. It was my pleasure to show her around town through the streets of Glendale. It’s not the most tourist-worthy town compared to Santa Monica or Costa Mesa, but it’s good enough to leave a good impression of LA.

On the first day, we hung out for 5 hours, which doesn’t seem like much but we got a number of places down!

  • In-N-Out Burgers ~ Must go-to place if you’re on the west coast for the first time.
  • Griffith Observatory ~ Having a broad scope of LA from the top.
  • Seoul BBQ ~ We wanted Korean BBQ without going too far. A bit pricey, but okay for what it is.
  • Whole Foods ~ Need to show her why I’m obsessed with this store… Chynna ended up loving it too!
  • Porto’s Bakery ~ A bakery full of tasty treats? Count me in!
  • Americana ~ One of the nicer malls in SoCal.
  • Sprinkles Cupcakes ~ Best. Cupcakes. Ever

The next day, we spent a bit over 13 hours at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. We rode on a bunch of rides from Space Mountain to the Golden Zephyr. I love Disney! We also took a look at some shops and had some snacks throughout the day.

  • Dole Whip ~ After weeks of trying, I finally got my hands on a Dole whip! It’s so delicious and would buy again!
  • Churro & Popcorn ~ I’m not going to lie, these are a bit pricey but the taste makes up for it.
  • Turkey Leg ~ 10/10, why are you so good?

As far as dining goes, we went to the Cove Bar twice that day (lunch + dinner). No regrets at all! The Cove Bar is amazing from its food to drinks. We met with Amanda and her boyfriend at the Cove Bar during dinner (bless them for treating us). It was a pretty neat coincidence because we’re all bloggers who somehow connected in person at Disney. No wonder Disney is a magical place…

It was a great experience meeting Chynna and Amanda in person after years of comment exchanges 😺!

Ahh, reading this post makes me so happy! <3 I'm so glad you had fun with Chynna, seeing glimpses of you on her snapchat made me so happy! What a lovely way to really solidify a friendship too – AT DISNEYLAND! What better way 😉

It's so nice that Amanda treated you too, that's so lovely of her! I know who to message if I ever plan to go to LA. 😀 I love all these pictures and the video too – hopefully we can all meet sometime – like some sort of huge blogger meet up picnic! That'd be awesome 😛

So jealous! 😀 I wish I could have been there and we’d have been like the four musketeers or something XD

Looks like you and Chynna had a blast! And it’s great you met up with Amanda! So sweet of her to treat you guys! It’s nice that Disney connected all of you XD It’s actually kind of cool — very magical, too.

I know if I ever make it to LA, I’ll give you a holla, and you better take me to In-and-Out and Sprinkles! 😀 Those sound like something I need to do there, haha! Thanks for sharing your adventures, Nancy!

Sounds like you guys had a great time! Whole Foods is great! I love their food court. And Korean BBQ is always soo expensive.

I’ve been reading a lot of posts about bloggers meeting other bloggers. So jealous! It always sounds like so much fun, haha.

That is amazing you all got to meet! 🙂 I will totally hit you up if I am in your side of the woods. I will be going to San Diego for a work trip at the end of July, but I am not sure how much free time I will get – and I know it’s a serious way away from LA itself… waaaa.

The video is amazing! I love the background song, too. I am so freaking happy that I was able to meet you after all this time 😀

Seriously, I am hunting down the Whole Foods in the UK, so I can compare. Still can’t get over the green juices!

I am going to start a petition to get In-N-Out in the UK. Can’t wait until I’m back! & For longer this time!

I love the photo of the three of you at the end! I still think that’s so awesome that you guys met up. It makes me happy when bloggers can meet up in person 😀 That’s great that you were able to show Chynna around and spend the day at Disneyland with her. Looks like so much fun!

I would love to visit Cali one day, and Los Angeles is definitely a place I wouldn’t want to miss. So if I’m ever out there I’ll be sure to hit you up! That’s awesome that you got to meet up with Chynna and Amanda, too!

I’ve always wanted to try In-N-Out burgers because I’ve heard so many good things from so many people. I’ll have to keep those other spots in mind too.

I’m glad you guys had so much fun!

Your food pictures are so pretty!
