Eight Months♥
March 23, 2013

With week 5 of school finished, I’m on my way to week 6. I have no idea why I started counting the weeks of my semester, but it helps me keep track of dates and whatnot. On my previous blog post, I mentioned about taking an exam for Statistics and test for Music Fundamentals. It turns out that I got an 85% for my Stats exam (which the highest was a 92%). I’m a bit bummed out because I wanted at least a 90%. I have another exam coming up on April Fool’s day so that’s my chance of redemption. I got a 97% on my Music Fundamentals test; though it was pretty easy. I got a couple of questions wrong because of minor mistakes (which I misread “H” for half-step and thought it said “W” for whole-step). It’s still an A so I’m satisfied.

On Monday, my Anthropology class was cancelled. I was pretty bummed out since I went to school a couple of hours early to secure a parking spot only to find out I could’ve gone to school at 12 instead of 8. Since I forgot my driver’s license at home and I really needed it for later during the day, I drove back home and got it… And then went to the mall to go shopping. I bought a couple of shirts from Hollister.

My dad’s birthday was on Monday and I mentioned on my previous blog post that my brother and I pitched in money to buy a cheesecake for him. My mom had me hide the cheesecake until after dinner. The surprise and everything was a success since everyone liked the cheesecake. It was so delicious.

Classes throughout the week was pretty normal. Though I had a research paper due for my Speech class on Thursday, so I left my Economics class an hour and half early on Wednesday night. I completed the research paper after I got home. During the afternoon of Thursday, I found out that my Speech class was cancelled. Even though I went through all of that trouble in completing the research paper, class being cancelled was totally worth it because it was the 21st of March; the day when my boyfriend and I reached our 8 month mark in our relationship. We met up at the mall since I wanted to do some shopping (which was a fail since there wasn’t anything that I liked) and then ate at Panera Bread. My boyfriend, being a super sweet person he is, gave me two clips to add on to the Pandora bracelet he gave me two months ago. Then I gave him an Iron Man shirt (which I have the same pair myself so we can match when we watch Iron Man 3). On Friday, we spent the day together and ate at Noodle World. As always, I ordered the udon noodle soup.

Next week, I have an Anthropology exam and maybe a Philosophy test. I spent almost 10 hours today working on an abstract and a set of genetic questions to complete for Anthropology. When I’m done with the last few questions, I’m free for the rest of the weekend!

To finish this blog post, here are some pictures I posted on Instagram throughout the week.

I’m still trying to find time to return some comments. Hopefully that would be soon. It’s a sign that I’m taking too many units this semester.. Which I am taking 3 above the maximum. &%#@ my life.

85% is still a really good mark, it might not have been the one you wanted but you should be proud!

It sounds like you and your boyfriend had a nice little anniversary and that was super sweet of him to pick you up some charms for your bracelet 🙂

This reminds me of why I am seriously hesitant about going back to University…and yet I need to do so. 🙁 I hope that your classes continue to go well. 😀

Congratulations on the anniversary, and I hope that you have many more to come.

As for the 85% on a Stats exam, I would love to have that score. 🙂

    Take care!

Congrats on getting a high score on your Music Fundamentals test! I think you did well on your Stats exam too, especially since the highest was 92%. 85% is still a good score!

Happy 8 month anniversary! That’s sweet that you got each other gifts. The cheesecake for your dad looks delicious too 🙂

Good luck with your upcoming exams!

I just finished week 9 of the semester (I’m on spring break right now), and I can’t believe how fast the semester is going. But keeping track of the weeks isn’t weird, so don’t worry. The majority of my professors organize their syllabus by the week, so it’s easy for me to keep track.

Good job on all of your tests! I thought my classes for this semester were going to be easy, but so far it’s been kicking my butt. All the readings I need to do…. Sounds like you’re doing fantastic, though. ;] Hope your semester can continue going so well!

Having classes cancelled is nice, but really only when it’s a convenient time. Getting class cancelled in between two other classes sucks, because you need to distract yourself for an hour. I can only order so many coffees from the cafe. -lol- But it seems you redeemed the day by going shopping, so it’s not so bad.

Tell your dad I said happy birthday!! Hope his day was great. And congrats on your anniversary. It’s awesome that you have been together so long (and adorable that you’ll match when Iron Man comes out, which is a movie I’m sooo excited for), and I hope you guys have another strong 8 months. =]

WHY DO YOU TORTURE YOURSELF BY TAKING SO MANY CREDITS?!!? I have 15, and that is enough to occupy my time completely. =P

Congrats on your anniversary with your boyfriend.

    Awesome pictures btw.

I’m sorry to hear that you rushed to get all of that work done only to find that class was canceled. However, at least now you don’t have to worry about getting it done! I love that cake, btw. It looks so pretty and the frosting looks picture perfect!
