Happy June
June 1, 2013

Happy June, everyone! I am 1 1/2 weeks away from finishing the semester! Woo! But before I celebrate the occasion, I have to pass all of my classes first… This means finals are coming up in a couple of days. I’m dreading the first day of finals because I have 3 back to back finals taking place. On Wednesday, I’m going to have my Statistics, Philosophy, and Economics final. The rest of my finals are spread out pretty evenly.

On this recent Wednesday, I had an Anthropology exam and a Statistics exam right after. I hope I did well because I studied for 4 days nonstop for these two exams. I suppose it’s not enough but really– I am really limited on time. As for the test I took for Music the other week, I ended up getting an 87%. The test was mostly about triads and its positions; which is totally new to me.

The rest of my classes during the week was alright. Speaking of which, I enrolled myself in one of those community courses to officially learn how to make sushi next month. I really want to know how to properly prepare raw fish for sushi and all of that good stuff. It’s time to move on to bigger and better stuff from California rolls, yah know?

My weekend so far is pretty nice and not as stressful as last weekend. I spent my late afternoon/early evening today with my boyfriend. We went to Ralphs and bought some snacks including  Greek yogurt. Since there was a Coffee Bean in the store, we sat at one of the tables and started munching away. I was never a yogurt person, to begin with… But I have to admit- Greek yogurt is really delicious and healthy!!! After all of that eating, we went to my school to watch a theater arts performance for extra credit for Speech. There were multiple performances from Shakespeare’s work including Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet. I enjoyed it the whole way through.

I finally took time out of my busy schedule to do a little makeover on the layout. It has been over 6 months since I changed the layout. The change is not that big of a difference but it’s something. When summer comes, I should have more free time to work on changing/redoing some sections on the site.

Good luck on your upcoming finals! I hate back to back finals. They shouldn’t be allowed to happen, ever. It definitely doesn’t encourage success x.x

Oooh, a sushi class?! I wish the CC near me offered one like that. It’d be so interesting. I wish I could take the class you’re taking, too. 🙂

I’ve never had Greek yogurt, haha. I’ve always heard amazing things about it… I guess I should give it a chance. I’ve only been a yogurt person for maybe a year? Yogurt was never my thing to begin with, haha.

I like the changes you made! Bright and ready for summer. ^-^

Good luck on all your finals! I know once I get into school I’ll have to worry about finals and such. Yeah, nice new layout too 😀

Sushi class? That reminds me that I was watching some people at some Chinese restaurant make sushi and it was fascinating; but that’s cool that you enrolled in that class and I bet you’ll do well in it too.

I think I have to try Greek yogurt because everyone keeps saying it is yummy but I didn’t know it was good for you. Hahaha I’m glad that you had a good weekend with your boyfriend.

Good luck! I have my finals in like 10 days and I haven’t started much review yet. I don’t think I’ll be sleeping much this weekish.

Greek yogurt is fabulous in fruit smoothies btw. C:

I like the new changes to your layout! It’s cute, and the colors feel summery 🙂

That’s awesome that you’re taking a class on how to make sushi. I’ve been wanting to try it but haven’t looked into it yet. We always try to sit at the sushi bar, because I really like seeing how the chefs make them 😀

I’m glad you had a good weekend! I really should try Greek yogurt some time since it’s healthier. Good luck on your finals too!

Hey Nancy!! I know it’s been such a long time since I’ve visited my blog buddies’ sites/updated my own blog, but I’m glad to hear you’re doing well!

How was your first year of college?! What are you thinking of majoring in?

And wow, you didn’t have a boyfriend the last time I visited your site haha, that’s great! 🙂

Also, Greek yogurt is really good. Did you have it frozen or regular?

Yikes, I always dreaded having anything more than one final per day. And even then, I was horrified if they were consecutive days 😛

Oh YUM! Sushi class! I had a preview of a class once for sushi making. It was only a california handroll, so no raw fish goodies in it, but it was still fun and delicious. I would totally love a sushi class haha. Take pictures of your creations!

I actually like yogurt! I try to eat like a cup of it daily with a spoonful of honey in it for sweetness, but I get lazy about eating it every single day… I”ve tried greek yogurt before but perhaps not the right kind for me? I found it too sour for my liking, although the thick texture was nice.

Hey Nancy, long time no see/hear from! It seems like you’re doing really great in the schooling department as well as your boyfriend. I’m glad though you have a really nice boyfriend. :).

Good luck on your finals that are coming up. A sushi class? Really? At a community college/college? I’ll have to see if they have that there at the college I’m going too. That would be awesome to take I would think? Anyway, gotta go. And yeah I finally got a new domain :).
