5 Pieces of Holiday Cheer
December 23, 2015

Happy holidays, everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday festivities because this sort of thing comes once a year. This has been a great month for me for many reasons and it’s a great way to end off the year! It would be great if the gap between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a bit longer but I guess 4 weeks is enough for most people. I am thankful for all of the blessings I had and people who make my life better. I pieced together a few holiday-related topics into this post.

The Art of Christmas Gifts

Shopping around for gifts was an enjoyable experience for me. I normally give out Christmas cards but got too lazy about it this year. Instead, I decided to give a few people actual presents. For my boyfriend, I gave him several boxes of the Troopers Star Wars Lego collection along with a Star Wars T-Shirt. Meanwhile, I gave a couple of other people clothes from Express and Banana Republic. Christmas may be pretty expensive but it’s worth everything!

Things I Love About Christmastime
  1. Looking at Christmas trees and ornaments
  2. The holiday rush at the mall
  3. Wrapping people’s presents
  4. The joy in gift giving and unwrapping
  5. Car Commercials (Santa driving the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S)
Winter Wishlist

Is this an acceptable time to be materialistic 😹? Here’s my wishlist for the things I want. The first two things on the list is expected to be fulfilled on my own because of the big price tag. They’re on my wishlist because it’s still something I want.

  • New Car: A few years ago, I was planning to buy a 2013/2014 V6 Mustang by this time but over the years, I keep upping my specs list. When the time comes, I’ll finalize my decision between a Camaro or a Mercedes-Benz.
  • Complete Coach Collection: More goodies from Coach = ♥
  • Nice Pumps, Flats, and Sneakers: Most of my shoes these days consist of high-heeled booties and wedges. Having more variety would be nice!
  • Cat Stuff: Cat stickers, little figurines, and plushes = ♥
  • Beauty Products: Clinique skincare products or Mac Lipsticks please~
Holiday Tradition

My boyfriend and I have a simple tradition where we go out to have a Christmas meal. We’ll have more traditions as time goes by, but I’m happy with what we have now. This is going to be our 4th Christmas together and things get better every year. This year, we’re having our Christmas meal at The Cheesecake Factory on Christmas Eve.

Winter Pictures

We don’t really have snow here, but we are pretty festive when it comes to decorating for the holidays. It’s pretty neat that the malls bring out their huge Christmas tree and pimp it up with ornaments. The South Coast Plaza probably has the best decorated tree from what I’ve seen, but that’s just me.

    Happy holidays to you, Nancy!

I think it’s great that you and your boyfriend has that Christmas meal tradition 🙂 4 years is a long time! I hope you guys will make even more traditions in the future ^^

I love your list of reasons why you love the hols 🙂 For me, I love the holiday food and music, haha! And I also love that holiday spirit.

    Girl, you got some good taste! Coach 😀 I hope you’ll expand your collection! ^^ And that’s a good idea to invest in a variety of shoes XD;; I should do the same, actually, but I hate shoes and clothes shopping X_X;

Thanks for sharing those wintery photos! We haven’t got any snow since a few weeks ago, and now I wished that snow had come around now X_X; It doesn’t feel Christmas-y at all! But seeing those photos you shared make it feel a bit more Christmas-y XD

Anyway, have a fabulous Christmas weekend, Nancy!

The holiday spirit is the best! I would wish that the spirit lasts all year long but people will eventually get sick of it and be super grumpy XD. I have expen$ive taste in some stuff ;~;. At least the cars that I like are waaaay under 100k XD. We have no snow, but everything else makes up for it!

    Happy holidays Nancy!

Firstly: SUPER JELL over your gift to your boyfriend though. Damn, need to add that to my christmas wishlist before it’s too late! 😛 I have a list of things I want to but I don’t see people buying them for me; so I guess it’s a wishlist for myself once I get paid from my job haha!

The christmas tree is beautiful and is definitely very festive! :’) Me and my boyfriend have the same tradition! This year, we went to a French restaurant for Christmas – last year we went to good ol’ Nandos. Haha! <3

    Have a wonderful christmas!

    Happy holidays Nancy! 🙂

Aww, it’s so sweet that you and your boyfriend have Christmas meals together! I think spending the holidays with the one you love makes it feel even more special! 🙂

Wow, those photos are so beautiful and they really make you feel the holiday spirit! 😀

That’s a great gift for your boyfriend! I totally want some Star Wars legos XD

I really like wrapping people’s presents too, and Christmas decorations are so pretty. I’m not a fan of the holiday rush though! I feel like it gets way too crowded, so I do mostly online shopping now.

Nice wishlist! I also think that’s sweet that you and your boyfriend have an annual tradition of having a Christmas meal somewhere 🙂 It’s something to look forward to each year!

Wow, that tree is so big! It’s beautiful too! I hope you had a great holiday!

    Happy holidays!

I think going out for a Christmas meal is a lovely tradition. For me, it’s just play games with friends haha! My forever wishlist is more yarn. XD

    Btw OH, GOOD BLOG. >:D

    Merry Christmas, Nancy!

I love giving gifts to friends and family during Christmas. I know a lot of people find it a chore or feel obligated, and sometimes it can be hard to shop for certain people, but I love finding the perfect gift and then watching their faces as they open it. 😀

I am the complete opposite, shoe-wise! I really need some new booties and heals (and some new flats too) because I mostly have more laid back shoes. 😛

I hope you had a great holiday and that you enjoyed your Christmas eve tradition with your boyfriend!
