Continuing from a couple of blog posts back, I didn’t mention my grades because a couple of them haven’t been reported at the time. All of my grades are finally posted and if you haven’t found out via twitter yet, I manage to get a 4.0 GPA last semester! It was truly unbelievable that I got A’s for all of my classes… Especially since I did really bad on the first 2 exams in C++ (I ended up acing the programming + objective final & got an 88% as my overall grade), always scored B’s on exams/quizzes/labs in Chemistry, and wrote B+/A- papers in English. I’m really happy with the outcome :). This makes my overall college gpa a 3.7 right now.

So earlier this week, I started my winter class- which is Accounting 102. My instructor has a ~crazy~ personality while teaching what she has to teach. On the first day of class after break, she opened a huge bag with mini snickers/milky way/kitkat/crunch bars and threw them all over the class out of no where. A bit random but I rather have her as my instructor than a strict + grouchy instructor. I took Accounting 101 back in fall of 2012 so I forgot everything- but some of it is coming back to me. Then yesterday, she was showing us an example of a flow chart in the manufacturing process by making smores in the classroom. She brought her portable fireplace in a can and a marshmallow caught on fire then fell to the floor. It was put out quick, but still- we had fun watching even though the situation could’ve been worse. We had our first test today and she brought some homemade brownies. It was delicious with the outside being a bit crunchy and the inside being chewy. With the first week being finished, I’d have to admit- this would probably be my all time favorite class so far. Hopefully I will ace the class somehow ,___,

Last Friday, my boyfriend and I had a little date to a nearby plaza and In-N-Out burgers… And he gave me a late Christmas + 17-months present! One of them was a box with 3lbs worth of Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme chocolate and the other was a cardigan from Hollister. For Christmas, I got him a pair of portable chopsticks and a pair of all-weather gloves. We got each other stuff based on our wishlist so it works out ^__^.

I have been shopping moderately for the past couple of months- but mostly for future since the things were on sale. I’m debating about doing a winter-haul post later on. We’ll see πŸ˜€

Congratulations on the 4.0! I am so happy for you! From what I understand in college is that if you work hard, your grades will show πŸ™‚ And since my uni classes were smaller, the professor could see who was working hard and serious about their studies, and that helps when grading times came. Like I should I have FAILED my math class, but my professor saw that I was trying my best, and she still let me pass with a C-, for which I am very thankful for! So yay for good grades! πŸ˜€

And awww! I like how you and your boyfriend exchanged gifts. Sounds like great gifts to me! I, for one, would never say no to chocolate! Nooooom!

Congrats on getting straight A’s, Nancy!! πŸ™‚

Good luck on acing that class! I love S’mores! It’s kind of odd she brought in her portable fireplace just to make some in class …since it’s an accounting class….

Ahhh..still on that Hollister kick, huh?

Your teacher sounds pretty amazing, lol. I’d love to have an instructor like that during my school years. As for your GPA, congratulations! That’s pretty amazing that you were able to pull off that GPA with such a shaky start. Good for you!

That is such amazing news that you did so well on all the classes, congratulates! I am sure that you are really proud and you should be. You worked hard and the rewards were there. πŸ˜€

Wow, that sounds like an amazing teacher/class. I think it’s so great that she is trying something from a whole different way. Probably will actually enable everyone to want to be there too and hopefully learn more. It’s probably a class that many people could find as boring, so she is really putting some new life into it, which is great. πŸ˜€

Aw, that is so great you got the late present and the fact that you both worked of what you wanted from wishlists. It is often a much better way to do it, because you make sure the person can have something they wanted.

Hehehe. Sale items are gooooood. Because they are needed and they might never be available or at the same price again. I think you really need to do that post. πŸ˜€

Congrats on the grades! All A’s must make you super proud.
Be careful you don’t put on loads of weight if she always treats you like that haha

Congratulations for your good grades! I’m happy for you! πŸ˜€ It’s a good thing that you work so hard! πŸ˜‰

You seem to have a cool teacher… XD I wish there were more like her! πŸ˜‰ I think it’s a good thing she’s that way, haha

Congrats again on getting all A’s last semester! haha, wow, your Accounting instructor sounds both weird and fun. Sounds like it’d make the class more interesting though πŸ™‚

Aw, those are nice gifts πŸ™‚ 3lbs is a lot though! I think everyone should make wish lists. It makes shopping so much easier, haha.

So many congrats on your grades! I hate it when profs choose to post grades so late, haha. I understand they have a lot of things to grade, but it’s so stressful just waiting.

Good luck with the Accounting class! It’ll come to you more πŸ™‚ it’s only the beginning, right? She sure sounds like an amusing professor. I’d rather have her too than someone who hates being there.

Yummm 3lbs of chocolate. Who doesn’t want that?! Looking forward to your winter-haul post, if you do one πŸ˜€ I love seeing the things people get, hehe.

Congratulations on your 4.0! You’re so smart.

Your instructor sounds fun. I wish I could have one like her. She’s so unlike our Advanced Statistics teacher who gives us a quiz everyday, even though she hasn’t done some discussing yet.

Exchanging gifts is so cute. More months (and maybe years!) to you both! πŸ˜‰

That’s awesome that your teacher is fun! Throwing candy at random sounds like something I would do, haha! Nice GPA! I have to take C++ sometime in the future for my degree. I’m kind of scared of that one! :p

Hollister’s cardigans are some of the cutest, by the way!

Woah! New layout! I love the colors!

Congrats on the straight A’s!!! That’s awesome and I’m glad you did so well!

Baha, your accounting professor sounds hilarious. I haven’t started classes yet, but I’m taking Accounting 212, so we will see how that goes. I was pretty surprised I got an A in my previous accounting class, so we will see!

I’d love to see all the goodies you’ve bought!
