Jump Like a Ninja
After some thinking, I decided it is finally time to move on to a new domain. My previous blog highlighted the “high school going into college” chapter of my life and I’m hoping this blog will go beyond that. I’ve imported my old blog posts because I’d still like to share where I came from and the journey I went through to get to where I am today. Do it for the memories!

Nothing significantly changed on this new blog aside from the domain name. The layout is pretty much the same because I love my featured images on the front page. I am pretty much picking up where I left off and will continue to find ways to improve myself + this blog. Instead of starting fresh right on New Year’s, I decided to launch this new site a little before Christmas to have a head start and a nice segue into 2017. As for plans for my old blog, I’m going to let it sit for a while before letting it drift off.

I enjoy blogging because of the little things: learning how to play around with coding, exchanging comments, reading the awesome adventures other bloggers are having, being creative about expressing myself, and being able to see self-progress over the years.

There are some long-term blogging goals that I want to achieve:

  • Reach the decade milestone of blogging.
  • Strive for continuous improvement.
  • Keep some positive vibes going.
  • Learn how to take noteworthy pictures.
  • Improve my writing.

What is one of your blogging goals?

    >> Improve my writing.
It’s sad but blogging is the only writing that I do now post-college. Emails don’t count. And even during college, blogging helped keep my writing skills alive. Or at least it made writing term papers much more manageable whenever I had to do them.

    >> Keep some positive vibes going.

Congratulations on the new domain! I love the name, and it’s so fitting and easy to remember. I like your current layout, and I say that if it ain’t broke, then leave it alone!

I look forward to reading all your future posts, and I really like how you set up goals for yourself. I especially support your desire to promote positive vibes and self-growth along with improving your writing skills. I think blogging is a great medium to do that 😀

You know it’s funny how I’ve never really set any major blogging goals for myself. Your post makes me wonder what my own goals would be if I were to sit down and think about them . . . hrm. Something to ponder on!

Congrats on making the move! I’ve recently been considering changing my domain for similar reasons to yours. Empfire was a name I came up with in high school. It would nice for my blog to transition as my life does.

I think those are great goals. I think I would just like to keep writing relatable posts that spark conversations.

Congratulations on the new domain! I love it – it suits you 🙂

My blogging goals? Probably the most important one is to actually get back into blogging! I have been slacking badly as of late.

Good luck with your blogging goals!

I love your goals! I also want to reach a milestone but my blog has only been open for about a year, haha.

Congrats on the new domain! I like that you kept the layout the same. I always think that the featured images are very Nancy (and they’re pretty)!

I know I’ve already told you this, but I love the new domain name. Like you said, it definitely fits your taste! XD It’s also a good time in your life as you’ve made some recent big life changes to switch domains.

I like your goals, especially the positive vibes one! One of my blogging goals is to be optimistic in my posts even when things aren’t the best. And to always be honest, because I want to keep things real with my readers/friends and myself.

Congrats on the new domain! I love the new name 🙂 I unintentionally did something similar. After I graduated college, I took a year hiatus from blogging, and then when I came back… I was on Silent White! Since my old blog was on a different system, I just lost those entries. I’m not sure I’d want to read them now anyway, haha.

I think those are great blogging goals! Blogging has been good writing practice for me, which was always a weakness for me in school. I think my only blogging goal is to just keep going without any long breaks 😉

Hi! 😄 I also felt like my old site name reflected me moving from high school into university and still felt like I was growing up and developing confidence, so I made the name change too! It was shortly before I graduated my Bachelors, so it’s kind of around the same time you did since you graduated recently 🙃

I love the featured images and how simplistic your home page is. For me personally, you probably remember that I used to have image thumbnails for all my posts. I can’t be bothered with that anymore and I do it on the post level instead of the homepage. And there is also my obsession with better performance so I didn’t want to load images on the homepage 😆 But I do love yours.

I have passed the decade milestone of *actual blogging* but I have two years to go until my current blog (in the same format) hits ten years…! You will get there for sure, Nancy!

One of my blogging goals is to really hone in on a regular schedule and make better use of drafts and the post ideas that I have going. I need to keep at it 😄

I love the reasoning behind your domain change, I wish I hadn’t taken a huge break from blogging to do something similar! But now I only have Pawlean, but to be honest, I don’t think I would be blogging on my old embarrassing domain name 😛

As always you’re so inspiring with your goals! I hope to improve my writing skills too through blogging as well as improve my photography skills xD

Confession: I am still getting used to your new domain. 😛 On the bright side, I did remember that it began with an ‘E’ and ended with a .me – LOL I may need to start bookmarking my favorite blogs again. 🙂

I think that you made an excellent choice with this new domain – it suits both you and your upcoming journey in life. It could also serve as a reminder as you continue on to always remain true to yourself, what you believe, and to stay focused on your goals in life.

As for the goals you’ve set, I know that you’ll be able to reach them – because you’ll work hard at them, and you have an awesome support system.

I’m so glad that you decided to keep the same format – I love it so much, especially the cleanness of it and how each featured image adds a pop of visual interest.

As for my blogging goals, I need to sit down and think about that. I don’t think I’ve ever actually set any goals when it comes to blogging…
