Neverending November
November 24, 2013

Unbelievably, week 13 of the semester is coming up this week! This means there are two weeks until finals start! Speaking of finals, I am supposed to take 3 finals on the first day of examinations except I e-mailed one of my instructors for a reschedule. It would be nice if that request goes through so I won’t need to stress as much.

How are my current classes? They’re alright; I’m trying to pull through all of them with a decent/good grade. The other day, I took a chemistry exam and got an 87% (the class average was 61%). I was bummed out because I was aiming for an A. Hopefully the next exam and final will have better results. On the up side, if I receive a better grade on the final, it will replace the lowest grades among the 4 exams I took. In addition, I’m trying to relearn 6 chapters worth of materials for C++ in the next 2 weeks.

Staying on the subject of school, it turns out I am taking a class during the winter! Luckily for me, I managed to enroll into the next level of accounting (managerial) and got my textbook + student dues paid. All I need now is a parking permit which is $45; which is not too bad. I didn’t expect to enroll in any classes; but since I did, this means my schedule for the spring semester should be light. Instead of taking 16 units, I’m taking 12 instead (I ended up taking 1 extra unit to fulfill the full-time status and graduation requirements). I should have no excuse to stress out unless the instructors make the classes harder than it should be *o*.

Lastly, I’m trying to fulfill the membership requirement for the honors society, which is to earn 100 service points. The other day, I took advantage of the canned food and toy donation drives. After the next meeting and when I turn in my newsletter article, I should be good to go as an active member. The benefit is that my transcript will have the honors society seal; which I think is pretty cool. After next semester, I should have two seals :).

I suppose that’s all for now. I will respond to comments this Thanksgiving. Have a great week~

And the title is a bit misleading. November will end in less than a week but still, November felt a bit long to me *o*.

I hope your results come out alright! I am sure you will do well. As for relearning the C++ stuff… I feel you! I remember studying some C++ many years ago and it was pretty difficult. Not really my thing, I guess.

Good luck with your winter class! I am sure it won’t be too bad. I once took a class during the break, and the teachers were more lenient than during the actual semester.

Really like your colourful header by the way! 😀

Good luck on your finals! I hope your request goes through. That happened to me once where I had 3 finals on one day, and fortunately, I was able to reschedule one of them.

Wow, keeping yourself busy! I didn’t realize they also offered classes during the winter. I guess it’s good to stay productive when you can 🙂 I hope that goes well!

Ah, yeeee – you told me on Twitter you were aiming for an A. You still did good, though, girl! 😀

Good luck with relearning C++ – knowing you, you got this in the bag!

Happy Thanksgiving, in advance, even though we don’t celebrate here. Hope you have a good one 🙂

oh pssh, nancy. come on, man. 87% when the average’s 61%. dang!! no, don’t be bummed out- that was already good! i know i’m always saying this but gah i want your brain he..hehehe >:) you’re so diligent and from that diligence comes a smarty brain ;___; what is your secret lol

i seriously feel like hitting my forehead against the table and i don’t know laugh and faint at how active you are outside your comfort zone (read: home, house, bedroom, etc) because i can’t do that. ever. it’s like i’m allergic to the sun and the society lol. so it’s always college then instantly home for me because i can’t stand going out. i’d rather rot in my bedroom lol

i’m such a shut in sometimes it’s not even funny -___-

Good luck on your finals, and I hope that your professor will honor that request. Seems like you have a lot on your plate as the semester comes to a close, but hang in there! 🙂 I’m currently going through a minor issue with pre-registration myself because one of my courses requires an instructor consent code. I emailed the prof about it and hope that everything will fall in place favorably. Finals plus paperwork can get hectic, but they’ll all be done.

    Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

Sorry for the shockingly late reply… WP stuck your comment in spam. -__-

Good luck in your finals! I’m sure you’ll be fine, even in Chemistry, which is pure evil. You’re a smart girl.

12 units instead of 16 sounds great. It’s amazing how nice it is to drop one subject or miss one lesson…

    Take care! xx

I don’t know how you people on semesters manage to stand being in the same class for 15 weeks! I’m glad that I went to a school on quarters so that classes are over by the time I’m sick of them.

Hopefully, the course grades will be curved, so if the class average is in the sixties, a score in the eighties will get you an A. Good luck!
