One Year Anniversary ♥
July 23, 2013

On Sunday, July 21, 2013, my boyfriend and I reached our one year anniversary in the relationship. We have come a long way since day one and it’s for the best. Since we got together, I usually post about the big highlights about our awesome adventures (which is ~67% of the blog posts since last July; but even then, one or two paragraphs are usually dedicated to that). I believe we have a pretty good story about ourselves regarding the past and now.

We met almost 4 years ago in the holiday band we performed in sponsored by a railroad company and we came from different high schools. We kept in touch after the season from time to time even though we weren’t best/close friends (ever). Years later (which was when I was a senior), we started talking to each other more and found interest in one another. Eventually, we got together after our friend’s wedding last July. Hopefully that somehow fed your curiosity about our background. If not, then you can move on to the next paragraph or find a way to admire the picture of our meal below (whatever floats your boat).

We decided to celebrate this super special occasion at Raging Waters yesterday. Raging Waters is water theme park; so imagine Disneyland except you’re sliding down the water slides with your body/mat/floaties. I had lots of fun and got on some rides then “swam” around the pool for a bit. Even though I don’t know how to swim, I still enjoyed hanging on to the floaties. My favorite “ride” was the High Extreme where we’re up 10 stories high and go down the water slide on top of a toboggan.

After the adventures at Raging Waters, we went out to have a meal at Red Robin. This restaurant was the first restaurant we went to together before we started dating last year. It has some significant meaning to it. We ordered wings, fish, chips, burgers, oreo shake, and blue moon. At the end, he gave me a really really nice necklace from Pandora and exchanged cards.

I enjoyed every moment of the day from beginning to end. This was an awesome celebration and I’m looking forward everything that’s in stored for us in the future to come.

Awww, congrats and happy 1 year! I remember how fun it was to reach 1 year and looking back and realizing… what?! it’s only been a year?!

Raging Water sounds fun! I love water theme parks more than actual theme parks because of all the log rides, haha.

Wow congrats on your one year anniversary together! I hope you guys have many more years to come! You look really cute together!

And there’s one thing I noticed, most couples I know who look alike usually lasts long. I said most, cause everyone knows it takes more than that for love to last~ And..yep, I’m saying you have similarities. Haha!
Happy one year anniversary to the both of you! 🙂

Aww congrats! 🙂 Y’all look so cute together!
I’m not going to lie, I love reading stories on how people get together. It really gets me excited on that person’s behalf because I like good development between pairs [that eventually lead to couples]. It also sounded like you had a wonderful celebration together. A promising development, I must say. 😀

I wish for the best for you two in the coming future.

Aw, congrats and happy anniversary to you both! That’s awesome that you guys had kept in touch and then got together later on. A water park sounds like a fun way to celebrate 🙂 That’s also cute that you went to the first restaurant you guys went to together! I wish my husband and I had something like that, but we really don’t remember the first place we went to together, haha.

Omg I can’t believe you two have been together for a year. It’s like yesterday you said you got a boyfriend. I remember the story because you told me! So cute.

Congrats on the anniversary and celebrating. Raging water sounds like fun! And aw you went to a restaurant that’s significant, which is great!

I don’t even remember my first anniversary with my boyfriend, because we didn’t really have a specific day we got together. I think we had homemade ramen on our “anniversary.”

My brother’s fiancee isn’t racist, but she’s ignorant. She asked me if the Korean boys on my posters are gay. =(

Awww why can’t your boyfriend pick you up … haha it’s okay, I will probably be busy spending time with a bunch of old Koreans (my boyfriend is 24) who will speak in a Korean dialect I can’t understand. Lol I make my trip sound sad but I’m excited! In future I can easily go to LA to meet up, since I don’t have to pay for those trips. Just need to tell my mom Hey can we go see dad?
