Presentation & Ribs
May 24, 2014

As mentioned in a couple of posts ago, I was working on a project for my state/local government class where we have to bring up an issue, contact our representative, and present about it. It has been “my thing” to pick on computer/security topics so I went ahead and presented about bringing computer science into the general education curriculum (k~12+). For those who are interested, I wrote a “quick and dirty” summary about it. Some people in class had pretty interesting presentations such as calling for a parking enforcement reform and even the raccoon special ops unit. Speaking of which, finals for this class is on Thursday :o!

For the recent tests, I got a 90% for calculus and 87% for economics. Considering how the class average is lower and half of the people dropped the calculus course, I’m fine with what I have. Of course, it’d be nice if I aced both classes.

Food adventure time? Okay!

Blaze Pizza, a small pizza business followed me on Twitter a few months ago and they opened a shop at the mall recently so I finally decided to give it a visit. You pay around $8.30 for an individual pizza and you can choose as many toppings as you want. I went ahead and chose a bunch of toppings until my pizza looked really stacked before going into the oven… Which ended up being flattened through the heating process. Either way, I liked the pizza :-). The chewy-yet-crispy dough wins my vote. I’m glad the staff didn’t make a mess with putting the toppings on the pizza.

I have been wanting ribs for the past few months and yesterday, my boyfriend bought me baby back ribs from Applebee’s ☺. It was deliciousness in every bite ☺☺. I love steak and ribs so it’s probably an expected thing from me. I don’t really have a presentable picture so imagine some delicious ribs with barbecue sauce brushed on both sides. Then later on the day, I caved in (once again) and got a caramel ribbon frappuccino decaf. I suppose it’s a good thing that there’s no Starbucks around the area, otherwise I’d go crazy over it. The Coffee Bean is the dominant coffee shop around and I’m not too fond of it for some reason.

&& To wrap up the post, here’s a picture of us with the mascot ☺. His name is Billy and he’s a Bronco.

Yum! YUM. So if I’m understanding it correctly, you pay $8.30 for as much toppings as you want? Now that’s a real good deal! I like your choice of toppings. I think mine would be Canadian bacon (or ham), olives, onions, jalapenos, mushrooms, and basils. That sounds like a perfect pizza for me! XD

As always, I’m STARVING after your post now. Why must you always post nommy stuff? XD

Anyway, good luck with the remainder of your classes! I think you’re doing well considering the other factors ^^

Those are great scores! Good luck with your finals.

The pizza looks so good! It’s almost 11pm and all these food posts I’m reading is making me hungry, lol.

The Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frapp is my fav! It’s seasonal so I always get a Caramel Frapp until I can get the Ribbon Crunch. Today I actually tried the Oprah Chai Tea Frapp. It was ok.. I LOVE CARAMEL so I tend to never get anything else.

My friend went to Cal Poly Pamona. She’s an Engineer now.

Congrats on the great results! We don’t study calculus in the UK but I hear it’s a tough subject, so you must have done really well. 🙂

The pizza looks delicious. I love places like that where you can pick your own topping and really make it your own.

Oh my goodness! Congrats on the grades you’re getting so far! I’m especially proud of you in Calculus. Good luck with your finals!

And pizza sounds so good now 🙁 I’m still on my ice cream/soft food diet until further notice. I remember being picky(before I got my wisdom teeth out) and saying I was tired of pizza, now, I’m just happy to smell it or even have a slice of it. Alas, it is what it is.

You guys are the cutest couple ever~

Congrats on having good scores! And good luck with your finals. You’ll make it. 😉

That pizza deal is awesome! I really would love to experience picking toppings on my own in a–let’s say “good” price. We also have that deal in our place, however, it’s limited and they’re only extra toppings. The rest are fixed. Great, huh?

That pizza looks mouth-watering, by the way. Ugh, craving.

Ooh, that’s cool that they have a set pizza price, and you can choose as many toppings as you want. I would totally fill it with a bunch of stuff, haha. It looks good!

We were actually craving ribs too, so we slow cooked some baby back ribs for like 4 hours. They were fall-off-the-bone tender 😀

    Good luck on your finals!

Wishing you the best of luck on finals! And nice job on your past few tests. I’ve got finals coming up in a week/two weeks and I’m just freaking out on my end. Trying to keep calm though, hahaha.

That food is making me hungry. Too bad it’s too late to eat right now.

And I think that’s cool that a restaurant followed you on Twitter and you went to visit. If more restaurants did that to me, I just might visit more new restaurants…depending on how close they are to me of course.

Congratulations on your terrific marks! I think a 90% in calculus is something to be proud of. It’s such a difficult subject that I struggled through so much. Especially if your class average was much lower, it’s definitely an accomplishment. Good luck on your next final!

I hope your presentation went well. I think your topic is extremely intriguing and I do hope that one day the government does implement computer classes in K-12 general curriculum. We’re edging towards such a tech-centered world that it only seems reasonable. It’s embarrassing how “un-tech-saavy” I am. I wish I had a computer-related course when I was younger.

All the food you’ve had sounds delicious! That pizza looks so appetizing and perfect. I love loading up all my food with veggies too. (:

    PIZZAAAAAA /end comment

Just kidding! 90% on Calculus is very impressive to me! I was really bad at it, so go you. 😀
