Projecten Ahead
October 26, 2014

This week was another busy week of school and it’s almost unbelievable that midterms are coming up! I already finished one midterm for my organizational behavior class and I have two more within the next couple of weeks (better than having it all crammed in one day/week). There’s a web development group project for my CIS class and I believe we should have a pretty good site looking at the human capital we have. Despite all of that school business going on, my boyfriend left flowers on my table with a note saying “27 Months ♥” after I came back from my evening classes on Tuesday night ☺☺.

On Wednesday, I went to eat all-you-can-eat sushi again for lunch after work (part-time day)! The sushi chef once again crafted some delicious sushi for us. We pretty much ate the same thing as last time along with some additional creations. The squid nigiri was amazing! The texture was on-point and it was not slimy at all (which was the case for some other sushi place). In addition, we got to sample some chopped toro on a spoon! The pieces melt in your mouth like butter and it was perfect.

The next day, I had lunch with a friend at a Taiwanese place near school. I’ve been craving for calamari for a while and hurray for finally fulfilling it! Then on Friday, my boyfriend’s club had some event at Buffalo Wild Wings where the eboard had to go through the blazing wings challenge. This is where they have to eat 12 REALLY SPICY wings within 6 minutes except it’s not free and you get to have your picture put up on the wall of fame (or something). My boyfriend has been a pescetarian (vegetarian + seafood diet) for over two years and it’s amazing how he broke the streak for the club’s tradition. He finished second out of seven people so that’s pretty impressive! I got myself an order of sweet bbq wings :D.

My CIS professor recommended everyone to start some sort of project that can ~showcase~ their interests and skills. With all of the food pictures I have, I might as well make something out of it sooooo I combined those two ideas and made a food blog so I can have something presentable without going too personal (like this blog).. It’s a work in progress (including the layout since it’s skeleton is identical to this blog) — I really don’t expect visitors or comments unless someone really wants to.

go green, go gold, go broncos~

    Yum for food!

I don’t think I’ve ever had Taiwanese food. I wonder how different it is from other Asian cuisines I’ve tried . . . I imagine it’d be quite similar to Chinese, but I am sure there are differences as well as similarities between the two XD

And I checked out your project! Don’t you just love it when you can do a school project that consist of subject matters you’re passionate in? That’s what I did with my grad school crapstone project 😀 So I think it’s great you started up that food blog! I glanced at it, and I have to say that Ghirardelli drink really caught my eye. I’d so like to try that if Ghirardelli ever opens up a store in Seoul!

    Aaaw, a “27 months” note…the little things. 🙂

    There she goes.

    There she goes, again.

WITH ALL THE FOOD PICS. Oh, god. Everything looks so amazing and you always catch me at lunch time, or I think I just subconsciously go on your blog when I’m hungry.

Anyway, your food blog looks awesome. Will definitely need to visit it some more, because well who needs any other reason except food?

I want to try Taiwanese food!

Wow, your boyfriend is really sweet! <3
And I checked your food blog, oh my goodness. I don't think my eyes can take the yummy goods. I've always wanted to start one but I'm afraid I can't handle it bec I eat the food almost immediately as the waiter brings them in. Lol.

Btw, may i ask what app did you use for the slide you have here? Thanks! x

The sushi looks amazing! Most all you can eat places here in London aren’t that great. They definitely don’t present their food as nice as that!

    Gosh I’m so hungry now!

It’s the little details like that make a relationship so special.

That sushi looks delicious! I’ve only had it once and just tried one of the flavors, I would love to try some more. Also, the food blog looks great! I’ll definitely keep visiting 🙂

I’ve been pescetarian for almost two years. I don’t mind seafood, but I decided to stop eating some seafood, so I generally stick to fish, prawn and squid. Pretty amazing that your boyfriend broke away from his usual diet for that. Also, how lovely of him to leave you flowers! I haven’t received flowers in a while, I’m slightly jealous. 😉

I feel like my boyfriend would win that spicy wings competition, he loves spicy food to the moon and back, he can tolerate anything ridiculously spicy. He’s always buying extra-hot chilli sauces and making his own super hot sauces. There was a ramen-eating competition at a restaurant here where you had to eat a huge bowl of ramen noodles to enter the hall of fame and have your photo posted in the restaurant. My stomach is so tiny I would embarrassingly fail any such eating competition. 😛

I like the name of your little food blog! Very cute, goes so cutely with Colorfulistic ^__^

is it really midterm time already? Geez!

Seriously, every time I see your pictures of food I get super jealous because there is no place like that here in this area or I just don’t get out of the house enough, haha!

Thats was really sweet of your boyfriend too! So romantic!

Aww, that was so sweet of your boyfriend to leave you flowers. What a lovely surprise. 🙂

I like the look of your food blog. It’s great when you can work on a project that reflects your interests.

27 months sooo 2 years & 3 months? Interesting number to celebrate, but congrats on being together for that long!

All the sushi looks delicious! You should always be careful about ordering bluefin tuna though, or at least try to order it seldom. It’s an endangered fish & it’s high in mercury so if you want to enjoy it later, gotta try to spread the word by conserving it!

Good for your boyfriend being a pescetarian for 2 years. I broke my streak last time for wings too hah! Too funny & he finished second, pretty interesting. It’s a healthy diet if you eat right & can really help lower your cholesterol. Hopefully he doesn’t fall off the wagon though! I know wings can be tempting. Can’t really call it a “vegetarian + seafood diet” though when it’s realistically not eating any land creatures besides those that swim in bodies of water!

I actually like that Colorfulistic is what it is right now because blogs with photos are much more inviting to read than long complaint blogs without anything. The separation is interesting though, I can see why you did it. It’s your new food log journal!

Your pictures of your food are wonderful! Your boyfriend is adorable leaving you those flowers, so sweet and thoughtful! I really enjoy your layout for this site and your other one about food! Really good way to showcase something you enjoy! Good luck on all your midterms!

I am so scared to try sushi, I have some serious seafood allergies (especially shell fish but some other seafoods as well) and since I have not been fully tested I tend to scare away since the thought of anaphylaxis scares the crap out of me. Also have a issue with slimy stuff lol so I have never tried but sometimes the images look so lovely!

Best of luck with your mid-terms!

I didn’t even know there was a Taiwanese place in those parts. Then again… I went to In-N-Out every chance I got. 8’3

Seeing that sushi has given me a craving for some sashimi. OH GOODNESS THE CRAVING. It’s a bit sad on my part that I never want to try anything new. Squid? Nah. Eel? NO! (But I have hated eel since I was young.) I just go in, order the same stuff, and eat it.
