Recollecting Magic
July 13, 2016

My boyfriend and I bought an annual pass to Disneyland / California Adventures a couple of months ago. We have been enjoying ourselves with date nights there and the experience has been worthwhile so far. Even though we are adults, we still find ways to enjoy the park whether it’s through the rides, eateries, or scenery.

Favorite Rides

The rides at Disney are pretty fun. For one of the rides, my boyfriend calculated how many people are expected to go through the ride per hour. It turns out that over a thousand people go through every hour.

  1. California Screamin’: This ride does a perfect job at making me scream 😹.
  2. Hyperspace Mountain: Dark & fast ride = win.
  3. Big Thunderthe wildest ride in the wiiiiiiiilderness!
  4. Tower of Terror: Not only do I like bass drops, I like elevation drops as well.
Favorite Eateries

Food at Disney can be pretty pricey, depending on what you buy. What I do have to admit, their food is delicious whether it’s their $5 churro or $16 lobster nachos.

  1. Cove Bar: Others love the lobster nachos. I love the buffalo wings and sliders. Oh, and don’t forget about their cocktails too 😻~
  2. French Market Restaurant: Check out their clam chowder bread bowls! Don’t forget to grab a mint julep on the way out as well.
  3. Tiki Juice Bar: Their dole whip float = 😻.
  4. Paradise Garden Grill: I really liked their tofu skewers.
Favorite Sceneries

The thing I like about Disney is the fact that I don’t feel like I’m in the city or anything. Disney feels like some sort of remote land away from the everyday civilization.

  1. World of Color: The colorful waterworks show at Disney California Adventures.
  2. Grizzly Peak: Have you seen the bear’s head as the tip of the mountain??
  3. Sleeping Beauty Castle: ~so magical~
  4. Disney’s Fireworks Show: It’s like the 4th of July every night!

What’s your favorite ride / eatery / scenery at any given theme park?

Guuuuuh! Your photos are so pretty! I can see a huge difference in between your current shots compared to the ones in the past! Keep it up, Nancy! I do enjoy seeing them 😀

Thanks for sharing your favourite things about Disneyland! It seems like the annual pass for you and your boyfriend is worth it. Your favourite rides made me smile. Those sounds like rides I’d go on! I love those thrill rides! I’m glad I am not prone to motion sickness XD

That clam chowder bread bowl sounds so good. I haven’t had that in a long time . . . I need to find a place that does it and hope consuming it won’t upset my stomach! XD

So beautiful. Can I go with you? LOL

I need to go one of these days, as everyone raves about it, but I have no money to go, and having a pup and not working on my end, doesn’t help. I’m getting a job soon(hopefully) but I’m glad you shared your favorite things about Disneyland.

Did you hear that Disney movies will be on Netflix in upcoming months? I think September or October. Or something like that.

    Food looks yummy!

so lucky for you to go to disneyland with your bf! i’ve read about tower of terror before and it’s the ride i’m most interested in. i don’t have a phobia of height (my bf does though) but height tickles me sometimes. there’s a ride called tornado in the amusement park of where i live and it has something to do with heights and getting dizzy so i will never ride that because i don’t want to throw up afterwards lol

like tara said, your photographs now are a lot different than your old ones! i like your current shots better! they’re more….muted and faded and not too sharply bright that they feel so in my eyes, if that makes sense.

That’s nice that you’re close to Disneyland and are able to go for date nights! Sadly, there are no theme park in my city, though there are Six Flags in nearby cities. I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a child. If I were to go back, I’ll have to look at your list again!

Oh wow! All of the food looks amazing, and what great shots you caught. Beautiful.
And to me, it doesn’t matter how old you get; Disney is for everyone!!!

I hope to go there one day, world or land I don’t care…I just want to go. 🙂

I’m going to Disney World this weekend on vacation and I can’t wait! I’m so excited and this post made me even more so. All of the food and drinks look delicious. Is it cheaper to buy the annual pass? Dow whips are life, by the way.
