Season’s Greetings
November 10, 2012

I can’t believe how time is flying by quick. Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up soon and seasonal decorations are being set up as you’re reading this blog post. I am not exaggerating anything because it’s true. Then again, what do I know? I am just a college student with a balanced social life, decent grades, and have enough sleep. As perfect as that sounds, it’s not perfect. There are challenges and obstacle along the way and I am fine with facing them- that adds the fun into life. I am quite happy with how things are going with my life right now.

As far as school goes, I took an Accounting test on Wednesday. Due to the fact that this is a challenging subject (with the professor that I have), my classmates and I formed a study group which was pretty successful. It was effective for me because it helped me memorized some of the formulas that were necessary for the test. Most of the people in the class didn’t feel confident about the test, but we tried our best. On the brighter side to all of this, it turned out that I received a higher score for my English midterm. It is basically a letter grade difference which benefited me.

Tuesday was Election Day and as a registered voter of the United States, I participated in this event by voting. Something that I noticed is that some people have no sense of respect for the choices and opinion that others have. But hey, that’s the beauty of politics! My story of the first time that I voted would probably be worth telling in the future, “I woke up bright and early, brushed my teeth, put on a hoodie, walked down my street to the polling place, received a ballot, and cast my vote (with the account that I stood around for 5 minutes trying to figure out how the ballot works).”

With my fascination of watching movies, my boyfriend and I watched Skyfall yesterday morning. I believe that it is a really good movie as well as being a great addition to the Bond films. I definitely recommend watching this movie for those who haven’t watched it yet.

In addition, for those with subdomains and domains that are not considered to be TLD’s, I have a domain giveaway. It’s not necessarily a giveaway since it requires you to accomplish some tasks. They’re fairly easy. With that said, may the luckiest/best person win.

What the heck. You just drove to Mexico and back? That’s innnsaaaaaaaneeee. I’ve never done that. hahaha

I’ve never even been in Tijuana. ):

I know SO MANY PEOPLE who just bashed on my votes etc. It’s so annoying because when I defend myself, they just turn it into something completely different. o_o

I can’t wait for the holidays. & I’m sure (and I hope) you did very well on your exams.

I agree! Time flies so fast, I could already see some Christmas lights on the streets from where I live.
And wow. Good to know that you got a high score on your English midterm!
As for the Election Day, I can’t say much since I can’t vote yet because of my age and I don’t live in the USA. Awgh.
And oh thanks for that movie suggestion, I’ve been looking for a movie to watch with my friends. I’m definitely going to watch it! Yay!

I know right! Christmas has just crept up on us unsuspectingly.
Well done on your English midterm though 🙂 it’s always nice when things turn out better than you thought/expect etc
I have been meaning to go see Skyfall but still haven’t got round to it!

I can’t believe time has flown by! Can’t believe the holidays are right around the corner.

And I’m glad you voted! I wanted to vote, but I lack any residency in the states, so my vote would not have counted.

    I keep hearing about Skyfall . . . but I’ve yet to watch a single James Bond film, so I am not sure if I’ll get to that any times soon . . . XD;;;

First, the new layout is so nice :D. Well, I don’t have anything to comment but, congrats on getting high marks in your English midterm test ! 🙂

Time is indeed going so fast lately, I can’t believe it’s Christmas so soon D: Well done on the test btw 🙂 that’s great that you got a higher mark ^_^
I followed the US elections quite closely, despite the fact I live in the UK. I think the US make their elections more media based than we do across the pond, so they seem far more interesting 😛 Happy Obama won though, Romney’s values don’t sit right with me, but that’s my opinion. :’)
Btw thanks for the 755 tip, I checked everything and fixed a few things (weirdly enough it wasn’t down to the values of the files, but more or less to do with my browser not recognizing the page update or something.) ^_^ muchly appreciated! xx

oh gosh, I know! The holidays are so close, so much shopping to do!

Being a voter is really exciting! Until you get the jury duty paper in the mail…

Oh my goodness. You’re right. I can’t believe that time is flying by. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week! I’m glad that you did good on both tests.

Usually they aren’t easy but study groups do work wonders especially if they are successful like yours was.

I think I have to see Skyfall now. Everyone is raving about it but I fear I might be dragged to see Twilight instead.

Christmas, yay! Almost every mall in our country is now decorated with Christmas lights and lanterns, etc. and our class is planning to put up Christmas decorations in our classroom on Friday. Weee 😀

Nicely done on your English midterm! 😀 Hope you’ll get a good score on your Accounting test as well. I don’t do study groups, they’re not effective to me. If we attempt one, we just end up gossiping. XD

I’ve seen Skyfall already. It was really good but I didn’t like how long it was. *.*

It seems like Christmas is earlier every year…soon it’s going to start in January 😉

Sounds like your study group was really useful, wish I’d had something like that!

I envy you for having a well-balanced social life. I feel like one poorly scheduled semester or super hard class can change that so easily for me at least. How do you try to make time for everything? Share some time management secrets please! You seem like a time ninja 🙂

I visited Universal Studio Singapore yesterday and the first thing that attracted my attention was the christmas decoration! it’s lovely and although xmas is not largely celebrated in Malaysia, i’m sure those who are celebrating it can feel the seasons of love and family bonding because many shopping malls will decorate their stores to create the feel… and of course, big sales! so much of being a career woman right now, i still have to sit for examinations because government officers needs to sit for at least one exam annually.. which means, i still need to study hard although i’m already working XD but then, i haven’t participate in any election yet.. ahah… our Malaysian election day might be in December, and I hope I an participate this time.. how does it feel to actually vote for your leader of the country?
