Yesterday, I had an afternoon meal with one of my old friends at King Taco. I had my share of the meal with consuming 3 tacos, 1 sope, and some nachos. Did I have fun? Of course, I did! Though… We had leftover nachos and my friend wanted to bring them to whoever was in the band room from my high school a few blocks away. I really did not anticipate dropping by the band room at all. It was a bit of a bummer that I didn’t catch the band director but I was warmly greeted by the current band members there.

Even though I graduated almost a year ago, it was weird that I barely recognized what the band room looked like at first sight… It was the place I visited the most out of all my years in high school. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t forgotten about band and the memories made from it. It’s just somewhere in the back of my head. I blame the heavy demands of the semester but that’s life. I guess it’s better “complaining” about being busy than being bored because at least you’re gaining experience of some sort by being preoccupied.

On Monday, I had an exam for Anthropology and a test for Philosophy… The two hardest classes of the semester. No matter how much I studied, I ended up guessing on most of the questions in Anthropology. As for Philosophy, I feel better about this test than the previous test. Sadly, I still have another exam coming up for Statistics next Monday… Which means I have 3 chapters worth of homework to complete this weekend. Come to think of it, there are only 4 weeks left in the semester. Surprisingly, it seems as if this semester is going by faster than last semester.

Despite me grumbling so much about the semester, life is good. Aside of all of those “bad” things, you gotta look at the good things in life too… Like me parking my neighbor’s car on to the street after street cleaning this morning. It doesn’t really benefit me directly, but still. It’s a good deed.

Yums, that food looks good! Man, high school was so long ago for me. I know if I visited now, there would be soooo many things I wouldn’t recognize. I agree that complaining about being busy is better than not having anything to do. Both ends of the spectrum kind of suck, but it’s better to be productive 🙂

I hope you did well on your exams! And that was really nice of you to move the car for your neighbor!

I’m not going to lie, but when I read”Tacos” I got really excited. I am in love with Mexican food and honestly, I really enjoy it! Especially tacos!

I don’t blame you for being a bit uncomfortable, I remember going to back to my old church and it being a lot different and also a bit uncomfortable for me. I gotcha. 🙂

    Good luck with exams!

Yum! The food looks delicious! Yeah, I kind of feel you about hanging out in specific places(you the band hall, me the orchestra room lol) and then going back to visit. I know I’d feel like that if I went to my old high school especially since I learned that they renovated it recently. Yeah, it probably would feel weird to me.

Good luck with your homework! Only 4 weeks? That’s coming up quickly. Yeah, I feel you again about just guessing answers. I did that for one test and I didn’t do so good but yeah, it was what it was.

Mmm Tacos! so yummy! I remember before I met my boyfriend I never really ate tacos or nachos very often. My boyfriend loves them so much though and I eat them all the time now. Theyre messy as hell but soo good!

Good Luck with all of your exams! The school year is almost done so you must really be feeling the pressure now

Those nachos look delicious! It’s been a while since I have had some nachos that are really great, or any kind of great Mexican food for that matter. There’s only so much that Taco Bueno can do (my grandparents dislike Taco Bell).

I think going back to a place that you once spent so much time in is awkward, no doubt. That happened to me at the church that I went to for my baby brother’s Christening. The people didn’t remember me, and the new volunteers acted like I needed to be shown where to go. I was really annoyed.

Perhaps if/when you happen to go again, you’ll see the band director?
