This Week’s 10
February 28, 2016

Less than 3 weeks until Spring Break! In addition to that, less than 2 weeks until I spend the weekend at Seattle for a cyber security competition. That reminds me, I need to do some review for the competition 😸.

Here are 10 highlights of week 8 of the quarter (from my point of view):

  1. Computer Forensics: Being able to memorize some terms word for word for the exam and using the forensics software to recover evidence for a lab. My determination to do well in this class finally kicked in…
  2. Online Shopping: Ordered 5 pieces of clothing from Banana Republic, a pair of boots from Sam Edelman, and a pair of flats from Dolce Vita. Hurrah!~
  3. Sumatran Tigers: Earlier this week, the Sumatran tiger gave birth to 3 cubs at the Safari zoo in San Diego. Pretty exciting considering how the species are endangered. Not to mention, I love feline animals.
  4. FriDate: My boyfriend and I went to eat at Jazz Cat Shabu for dinner followed by having endless fun at the arcade after. It’s like Vegas but better 🕹️!
Speaking of which, I was at Las Vegas exactly 4 years ago!
At the arcade, we played a bunch of games and got addicted to the coin pusher machine. We earned a good amount of tokens ;).
  5. DC Shows: Finally caught up with Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow! I’m excited to see Gotham returning to air tomorrow.
  6. Skyforge: I have to admit, this game is pretty addicting. I started playing this game towards the end of winter break and progressed pretty well considering my busy schedule. It’s nice to enjoy some gaming during down time ;).
  7. Sushi Bowl: On Wednesday, I had the usual sushi bowl with salmon, ikura, and crab meat (real) for lunch (with Boss Man).
  8. Week 8: With week 8 being done, 2 more weeks plus finals until the quarter is over! I always enjoy counting down to a milestone for some reason~
  9. Club Site: Pretty excited with the progress of the redesign of my club’s website. I added a cool slider/carousel and made the site WordPress-compatible 💥. Oh, and I’m finally getting on my A-Game with regularly updating our social media accounts.
  10. Momento App: I’ve been using this app for over a week now and it’s working pretty well. There were a couple of times when I forgot to check-in at a location, but I can always backtrack time and add the check-in. So far, I’m using this app for private check-in purposes and daily summaries. It’s pretty cool to see a map with pin-points of where you were that day.

P.S. As I was typing up this blog post, I was also working on my forensics lab report… That turned out to be 42-pages long.

Yay for another fun week 🙂

Glad you found your mojo to do well in that computer forensic class. You did a lot of online shopping! Those are so convenient, and at the same time VERY tempting, ahahaha. And woot for the tigers giving birth to three cubs! I bet they look adorable!

Yay for your Fridate! Sounds like the arcade part was a blast! I haven’t been to an arcade for so long! I miss them! The food photos look good, btw. Yum!

Good on you for keeping up with your club site and the Momento app. It’s good when you can backtrack things 😀

I wish you luck on your finals, Nancy! Keep it up, girl ^_^

I hope that mojo stays for another two weeks… A few more months would be nice, but two weeks can do for now before I wish for another miracle XD.

Thanks for your lovely wishes ♥

Sounds like you had a really postive week so yay for that. GEtting stuff done for class and doing online shopping is always good.

Wee baby tiger cubs… how cute!

I really need to catch up on both my DC and my MCU, I got behind and just seem to keep slipping further and further behind.

Date night sounds like a lot of fun. I love those coin pusher machines. The ones that are like 2p can keep me entertained for hours.. it’s ridiculous but omg i love them!

Nancy, ohmygosh, your posts always make me drool. Can I come along on your fridates? I’ll just eat, it’s like I’m not even there. XD

Arcades are so much fun! We went to a Dave and Buster’s last year and had a blast – Andrew won enough tolkiens to buy me the Fluffy Unicorn plushie from Despicable me!

Sounds like a great week, Nancy!

Yes! Bring Andrew as well and we can have awesome double dates :D♥~

I need to go to Dave & Buster’s some day! I’ve been hearing so much cool stuff about it.

Yummy! I love your fridate with your bf. Seriously. I need to do this with my husband, just have dates like this and go out to eat. Hahaha

    Another busy week!

Yay, another person who watches Supergirl! I love the series, though I struggled with it being so cheesy at first. :p

I love the “FriDate”. That’s really clever and cute. <3

    The idea of a 42-page-long report sounds terrifying. D;

That would be a lot of work to have to remember those terms for the exams but it’s wonderful that you are so determined to do well. 😀

    Whoa. 42 pages! ?

Yay, glad things are going well for you in class and on your club’s site! Online shopping always makes me feel better, haha. When the packages come, it feels like gifts from past-me. I’m also finally watching Arrow. I finished first season, so I still have quite a bit of catching up to do! I plan on watching The Flash too. So glad Netflix has these series.

Oh man, 42 pages is long! I’ve never written a report or paper that long before!

    • Nancy ☆ March 4, 2016 at 11:32 pm

I love your concept of “the past you giving the future you a gift” XD. TOO PERFECT!!!!!

Speaking of Netflix, Daredevil is coming back this month!! It’s kind of scary to see how detailed forensics must be. It makes sense because the examiner is trying to unwrap everything that actually happened.

  9. Ongaku ☆ March 3, 2016 at 9:02 am

Okay, I think my mouth just got 10 times more wet…. lol XD Online shopping is so dangerous for me. I’m one of those that will fill up a shopping cart online and then be like… nah. However, sometimes I just go for it. XD

    • Nancy ☆ March 4, 2016 at 11:31 pm

That is me whenever I am a lot of $$ away from free shipping! Either I buy some junk I didn’t really want or I spend too much money @___@

Hay gurl, we should go to Jazz Cat Shabu sometime on a fun girl’s nite out you know? Glad to see you had a blast :3
