Thursday’s Random Thoughts II
July 30, 2015

A couple of weeks ago, I posted the first round of Thursday’s Random Thoughts. Initially, I wanted to post thoughts throughout today, but it’s easier for me to pull thoughts throughout the week instead. We’ll see if this becomes a regular thing for me. My work has been pretty busy because of the ending of the fiscal year. I was hoping to disappear from work (vacationnn) during this time of year to avoid responsibility of the inventory count and creating the valuation report except my main boss gave me all responsibilities relating to it. It’s fine, I’m hoping I can somehow improve the process this year.

  • I finished The Crew’s storyline the other day. What car do I want to drive next?
  • It was pretty cool when “Boss Man” said, “The student becomes the master” when I could tell a Mercedes-Benz CLS and CLA apart from a distance.
  • “What if an application I create chooses my dresses to wear this week for me?” — Okay, I’m not that lazy but it’s a pretty cool thing to code to get my “programming gears” tuned. I ended up coding this in C# for funsies. Why don’t I want to become a software engineer?
  • I’m a total beginner at water coloring but practice makes permanent. I seriously need to work on leaves next!

  • Dresses are awesome. I remembered buying this dress after my Finance final as a reward for dealing with all of the NPV/IRR/CAPM stuff.

  • Song of the moment: Martin Garrix – Virus (ps. I hope he’ll perform at Escape Halloween)
  • OMG @ my work schedule today… 8am-12:30pm theeeen 2:30pm-9:00pm. Normally I work from 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch. Hurray for the end of the fiscal year!
  • Take me back to the hidden gem in Glendale, please. Funny thing is that the city’s nickname is called, “Jewel City”. I literally ate half a pound of Hawaiian tuna ahi poke.

  • It took a week and a half for the bathroom remodeling to finish at my house. I love the new shower!
  • 11:15pm…. I need to hurry up with this post or else it wouldn’t be a legit “Thursday’s Random Thoughts” post.
  • I’m surprised my Acura actually achieved the manufacturer’s highway MPG rating (25mpg). Usually my car hits around the 19/20’s on a really good day aka. not revving up to 5k RPM. Okay, I need a performance car, not a full-sized luxury sedan 😹… Well, it can be a luxury performance car too if I fancy for it.
  • Lastly, I got my first letter of recommendation from a professor!

I think it’s great that your boss gave you more responsibility! Sure, it’s a lot more to do, but that shows your boss trusts you and knows that work will get done with you! Keep up the wonderful job you’ve been doing! Boo for the fiscal year fun, though. As someone who works for the government, I definitely get the fiscal year dance we have to do every year! They get crazy! I do hope you can get a vacation soon, though!

And wow! Your attempt at watercolouring is great! That’s way better than I could ever do. You got a good eye and hand for it! I hope you keep doing more of it and show us your more of your pieces! ^^

As always, your dresses and your poses are fantastic. I love seeing photos of you in those poses! You look adorable and happy!

And woot woot for your first recommendation from your professor! You’re hard work is definitely paying off!

That application you mentioned sounds like the thing Cher uses in Clueless, haha. I really like your watercolour!

All your dresses are so cute and I love your shoes <3

Can't wait until the next Thursday's Random Thoughts post! Hope it is a regular thing 🙂

I adore your watercolour skills and I can’t wait to see the result after more practice. 😀

    Kinda neat idea.

Birdy painting! I like it! And your dress. Super cute!

Dresses are awesome ^^ Sorry to hear you’ve been busy, but at least it passes the time quickly enough.

Glad that your boss believes in you and decided that you were trustworthy enough (which I already knew to be the case) and gave you more responsibilities.

Wow, I’m certainly jelly that your attempt at painting has gone so well. You are very talented!~ ^^ Plus you look so beautiful in that dress. Dresses again are awesome!

Sometimes, I wish I didn’t seem that capable enough to be dumped with a bunch of projects XD. But it’s fine; the experience is good to have. 😉

Regular random thoughts are good, haha. I sometimes write “streams of consciousness” on my blog, every now and then when I feel like posting something but don’t really have any idea what to write. It can be a good mind dump and sometimes for readers they can actually be quite enjoyable!

I am a serial 11:59pm-poster, so I know how you feel about speeding up your post writing to post before Thursday actually ends. 😛 I am notorious for posting Fashion Friday posts on a Saturday at 12:05 and then backdating them to Friday. No one notices since Australia is so far ahead… LOL

“Jewel City” is a lovely nickname, then again I may just be obsessed with jewels. Eeeee 🙂

I love your watercoloring, it is certainly better than what I can do.

Well done on receiving your letter of recommendation. I was going to say that it will come in handy when looking for a job, but you‘re already doing so awesomely at your current job and enjoy it as well… so you‘re lucky. 🙂

I actually like my mind dumps and some stuff can be pretty entertaining if I choose to post those kinds of thoughts XD. This was my first “close to 12am” post because of the weird work hours. Being 17 hours ahead of my time (give or take) has its advantages ;).

Wow, you’re so good with watercolor!! I’m a 4th year art student but I still find it hard to use it hahah

  8. Danielle ☆ August 5, 2015 at 11:49 am

I really think this is a great idea! I have random thoughts all day long but I reserve those for Twitter.

Congratulations on gaining some responsibility. It always feels great to excel at your profession. Unfortunately longer hours aren’t a perk of more responsibility. Hopefully the end of the year won’t be too stressful!

I love the painting! Watercolours are quite a challenge to use but you’re shading on the bird is on point.

A week and a half to remodel the bathroom is nothing. My dad took 6 months to do ours. My best friend’s dad took 6 years to do theirs, haha!!
