Tuesday Adventures
August 26, 2014

I randomly decided to take pictures of whatever I decided to do today. I did more than “just going to work” so it’s something worth making a post about. So get ready for a picture-heavy post~

Note: Don’t mind the quality.

I entered the freeway to start my 21-mile journey to my workplace. Whenever I take pictures while driving, I try to aim at the general area while still paying attention to the freeway soooo don’t fret ☺. I’m kind of used to taking pictures of the cool cars on the road like a golden Ferrari that one time going to school.

Made it to work a bit early because I’m leaving during lunch to go to school. Got my dual screens turned on and time to start working! I couldn’t really take much pictures because most of the things I do are confidential information on our management software system.

The non-confidential information would be working with hardware components such as this iMac. This is “behind the scenes” of the iMac’s display screen. I reconnected the hard drive after removing it a month ago and tried to diagnose the problem(s). It turns out either the power supply or logic board is bad.

At the beginning of lunch, I was making my way to school. I’m not sure what these mountains are in specific but they’re connected to the Angeles National Forest.

I was a bit surprised it took me around 15 minutes to get to school from work. I ended up parking on the 4th floor in front of this view. I ended up going to the pointy/cheesy building for financial aid inquiries then went to talk to the department chair for my major (who knew me for 2 years). The conversation ended with him telling me welcome to the department ☺.

Next, I made my way to ~the village~ because of a “scheduled tour” at 2PM. I ended up waiting until 2:30 before the housing coordinator came to answer our questions. I had a gist of what to expect out of the complex when I move in.

I was finished with all of the school “chores” at 3 so I went to MYO Sushi (yes, again because it’s awesome) for lunch.. Or late lunch. I wanted to order an octopus sushi bowl but went for an albacore sushi bowl instead- still something I haven’t tried yet. It was goodness in every bite, yes yes. On the side, there are edamame beans, fried sweet potatoes, salad, and miso soup.

After MYO, I went next door to Health Station to order the bonsai grass jelly drink. The other time I was here, my boyfriend and I ordered the organic milk with grass jelly (which was delicious). Oh, and observe the acupuncture awards on the left below the menu.

Funny enough, this place sells herbs/Chinese medicine as well. I thought it was pretty neat.

Here is the bonsai grass jelly drink sitting in the cup holder in my car. It’s so cool how the drink looks like a plant at the top because of the mint leaf and “dirt” that tastes like oreo crumbs. I loved the drink.

After the meal and drink, I started making my way back to work to squeeze in an hour because it’s on the way home so why not.

After 5PM, I started driving home. Traffic wasn’t all that bad (thankfully). And if anyone is wondering, No, I don’t text and drive. Just take pictures without paying attention to the screen while aiming it at the general direction.

Overall it was a good day. Drove more than the norm, took care of the things I needed done, and ate delicious food.. Then again, I eat delicious food often so this was no surprise. Time to sleep~

Anyone who can multi-task while driving has pure skill. I know it’s illegal in the UK to be use your phone for any purpose while driving, but yeah, it takes some skill!

Your commute to work and then to school looks very pretty with the mountains in the background. 🙂

It looks like you get some nice scenery during your drives 🙂 The pointy looking building looks cool, but also kind of weird, haha. If I saw it, I’d wonder why it was like that.

The bowls you get at MYO Sushi always look good! I also think the drink you got looks cute. It really does look like a little plant on top of it. I’m glad you had a good day!

I enjoyed seeing your a day in life post here! The pictures really helped visualise what you see throughout the day.

I love your work computer desktop! So pretty 😀

Your commute does look to be a nice one. I get to work by walking or cabbing or Daddying it up (Dad gives me a ride if I go in at the similar time as him) 😀

    Anyway, this is making me think about doing a similar post, but we’ll see XD;;;

I love the pictures, it is neat to see what someone does in their day-to-day life. It does look like you have some gorgeous scenery on your drives!

I personally would never multitask while driving. But kudos to you for pulling it off.

Just out of curiosity, that college that you went to with the pointed building. That wouldn’t be Cal-Poly Technic building would it?

you live in a nice place with good
    work and school environment! That
bubble tea shop is something I’d

Beautiful, beautiful photos! Your adventures are nicer than mine. Hahahaha, I just go to school, and then do shopping everywhere with my husband or my mom for either Halloween things, or clothes.

You always make me hungry/thirsty with your food and drink pictures, but it is okay. <3 Lol!~

I love the pictures! I haven’t had boba in forever! You make me so homesick. 😛 West coast best coast!

I miss driving. ;_; Now that I’m back in a big city, I take the subway to work and I never use the car anymore. Plus I’m intimidated by the narrow roads and all the parallel parking. XD

😀 It was interesting to see how your day spanned out. The different scenes on the roads are cool to see.

That drink does look awesome. It really looks like a plant!

I didn’t come prepared this time, and looking at the food and the drink has made me hella hungry and I should be working but there’s 10 minutes to go until lunch so I’m procrastinating.

The views are so nice! You don’t get any like that here in London. Just grey blocks and maybe if you’re lucky blue skies. Maybe. Beautiful.

I like how those roads look. I mean, they’re wide, giving cars their own delicate space, rather than narrow, making staying in your lane feel like that scary maze game that circulated the Internet like crazy a decade ago. Are all roads like that?

Anyway, this was a fun post to read/see, because I have this odd fascination with people’s days. 😡 Yepyep.

OH. I also meant to say the quality is actually pretty good. :p

Wow, how do you take pictures of a moving car in the highway with your mobile though? because I never succeeded LOL even if my car isn’t speeding and just moving at moderate phase, mobile photography ruins what my eye is aiming for…sometimes, haha

AWESOME, you’re working with two monitor screens, AWESOME….wait, it’s actually THREE SCREENS because you’ve got your laptop there. wow, that screams professionality to me haha though in all honesty, I can imagine myself working with 2 screens too in the future because it’s not unusual for motion designers to use 2 screens…especially visual effect editor haha

I’m so amazed at your skill in fixing hardware, an iMac at that! dang, you’re cool. I’ve never seen the insides of an iMac so thank you for showing me that 😉

Albacore tunnaaaa w<d so adorable haha.. I love Japanese rice bowl menu that includes miso soup and side salad 😉 free add-ons, yes yes~

the bonsai grass jelly drink reminds me of this tea house I read from a friend's blog called TEAPLUS. it's really adorable how people come up with the idea of styling beverages like that, like a pot plant 😀

you eat sushi more often than I do!! uggghhh you're so banned, man~ lol

LOL I am afraid to even touch my phone while driving (either way, I’m still on my learner’s, they expired ages ago and I had to start over again, but it’s all good because I don’t need to drive much). I guess I can get easily distracted, I have had freaky experiences where even though I don’t take my eye off the road, if I am trying to do something else I get distracted and can’t drive straight. Like changing the song on the CD player or something similar. I would probably get a stand for my phone just so I can tap it to take photos… anyway, you seem to have such lovely views everywhere you need to drive!

And you are a master at aiming wherever and taking a photo, because you get a pretty damn good view of the road. XDDDD

You have a really nice desktop :3 Also I saw the bonsai jelly drink on your Instagram or something… made me want one! 😮
