This Week’s Roundup II
February 20, 2016

This was another productive week for me! I can’t believe we’re done with week seven of the quarter. It’s pretty exciting to see the weeks passing by fast. Meanwhile, I still haven’t made an attempt to go to the martial arts session this school year. On the other hand, I’m still enjoying the things I do at work and the managers are pretty happy with my performance. At this point, I feel pretty proficient about programming queries/reports on our ERP. If I can learn ladder logic/structured text to program our product’s PLC system, that would be great 😼.

  • My boyfriend went out to eat this past Tuesday and brought back an uni bowl for me. I’m always fascinated by the texture of the uni and the looks of its spiky shell. Uni is an acquired taste but is loved by few.
  • I’m trying to improve my eating habits by having actual meals and not skipping them. Sushi bowls bring me happiness ♥‿♥.
  • I finally applied a decal on my laptop… HellooOOoo Spots from Neko Atsume! 😻
  • FriDate ft. Homemade Tacos ♦ My boyfriend and I made homemade tacos for each other last night. He marinated and grilled beef for me while I did the same with shrimp for him. The salsa we made was spicy! Then again, I have really low tolerance for anything spicy.
  • The flowers my boyfriend gave me on Valentine’s Day is still hanging strong and more flowers bloomed over the week! ~much beauty~
  • Things are picking up for my teacher’s assistant gig. This is another week of grading projects (without bias) for both MIS classes. In addition, I had an opportunity to led a class session explaining the basics of the next project.
  • My work went through an ISO audit last week. I was in the audit process as well…
Q: What will happen if I bring an infected USB to work and crashed a computer?
Me: First of all, why would you do that?
  • For wine day, I went on a journey looking for my favorite muscat wine… And bought their entire stock of 4 🍾.
  • Started to try out the Momento app for funsies.

How was your glorious week?

It sounds as if you had a busy, yet tasty week. My week was rather uneventful, and boring…but honestly, what else is new? I did however discover a new love – Nutella. Uhm…other than that, I’ve the most boring life in the history of for-ever. I’ve never had Uni before – but I don’t think I can get it anywhere near me. 🙁 Sushi is love, sadly my budget only allows me to get it 4 times a month if I’m lucky. Your decal is so cute – I love how you can get them for Macs…I don’t think any would look good on my Chromebook. Your Valentine’s Day flowers are absolutely gorgeous, and I’m glad that your TA gig and work are both going well. Have a great week!

    Sounds like a great week, Nancy! Lotsa great food from the looks of it! I thought your taco was . . . not a taco at first LOL I saw the tortilla as a real plate, so I kept looking at it and wondering how that was a taco. But I looked at it closely and finally realised that the plate was a tortilla! XD;

That neko decal is adorable! Yay for customising your laptop :3 I’m glad to see that your flowers are going strong! Those have some good lifespan and they are looking very pretty 😀

I LOLed at your response to that question. Seriously, if you know the USB is contaminated, why use it?! Also,. yay for finding the wine you like! I may need to do with the wine I like :3

Glad you had a great week, Nancy! <3

The tacos sound good! I made some with my family recently when Nick stayed over. Fish tacos are actually really gooooood too. 🙂

I am loving the photos! It is amazing the flowers have kept blooming (like your love! haha).

The sad thing about infecting computers is that some people have no idea that they have an infected USB… I guess it is your job to inform them of how to avoid this. 😉 Also, who uses USBs these days? I think it is quite rare, most people use hard drives or ~the cloud~.

    • Nancy ☆ February 21, 2016 at 6:41 pm

Intentionally bringing a suspicious USB is one thing, but having it accidental is another. It makes sense in a security perspective. I heard of a story where a company’s network had a virus that made all of the connected printers print out a bunch of junk. @___@

Speaking of which, yes! People use server storage or ~the cloud~. I haven’t used a personal USB for a long time because I put all of my “need to print” files on Dropbox.

*looks at the horizon where the dinosaurs used to roam*
“what was life like with zip drives?” X’D

It sounds haunted, I am imagining all the printers in an office just printing some ransom notes…! ? Haha.

I only really need to print tickets I buy to things, which are in my email. 🙂 Most other things are pretty disposable or don’t even need to be printed at all.

        Ahahaha. ?

My week was fine except for the whole nana thing in the hospital and then seeing Deadpool which was awesome. Have you seen it yet?

That kitty decal is adorable! Hopefully this week coming up is better for me.

*snorts* Get on with it, Nance. Do that martial arts session!

It’s only 10 o’clock in the morning over here, and I am freaking starving looking at your pictures. My God. I had to Google what uni is (lame, I know), but it is technically seafood I can’t even try it because I’m allergic 🙁 I WANT YOUR DECAL. SO CUTE!

You’ll have to let me know how the Momento app is. Sounds interesting!

My week has been work, work, food, sleep, work, work, work. Fun times!

Yay for having productive weeks! I’m glad things are going well at work!

Oohh, the homemade tacos look great. I also love that when I want to eat healthy, sushi is an option, haha. So good!

I’m amazed the flowers still look fresh! They are still very pretty 😀 Your decal is sooo cute too. It’s adorable how it looks like it’s jumping for the apple!

My week was pretty busy, and now I’m headed into another busy week. It’s good to feel productive at least 🙂

I’m new around here. Love your blog by the way! It sounds like you’ve had a fun week! Congrats on the teaching gig by the way.

It’s good to hear you’re doing so well at your job, Nancy! It’s always really encouraging to hear managers’ are pleased with your work. 🙂

Those tacos look soooo good. We typically make tacos with just ground beef, but shrimp tacos sound amazing. Unfortunately my husband isn’t a fan of shrimp. We always like spicy salsa, though I definitely don’t have as high of a tolerance as my family does. Some of the stuff they eat can make my nose run and eyes water!

I totally forgot about wine day! :’( I’m really picky about my wine, so I’ve been trying to try different kinds and see what I like and don’t like. That would have been the perfect opportunity! 😉

It looks like you had a fun week! Those photos are lovely!
Foodtrip is always a must for me.
Your laptop sticker is also cute =w=

My week was stressful, so far. My pet was sick and I’ve been filled with worry 🙁

  10. Cassie ☆ February 24, 2016 at 5:32 pm

Sounds like a really good, busy week. The decal on your laptop is adorable and mmm tacos! 🙂

My week has sadly been less good, I’ve been sick so there’s been a lot of ‘meh’ness.

Great to hear you had a productive week. I really love the decal on your laptop. It looks so adorable. 😀
