Weekly Routines
November 1, 2014

I fell into a weekly routine since starting and living at school. It’s a good way to keep myself organized without falling behind in my classwork or anything else. If anything sudden and different occurs, I do my best to make time by shifting some of these routines around.

Sunday
  • Leave home and arrive to school by 2PM.
  • Go to Fresh & Easy for the weekly grocery shopping.
  • “Recreational” Activities: Swim, blog/return comments, make dinner, divide food into individual portions, go to another store, and/or etc.
  • Eat dinner then do homework.
  • Sleep by 11 (hopefully sooner!)

Monday
  • Light breakfast (usually edamame beans and a smoothie).
  • Do homework for several classes instead of one to avoid burnout.
  • Get ready, wait for the shuttle, and go to Operations Management class.
  • Come back to my apartment for dinner.
  • Drive off to school for my Management Information Systems class.
  • Surf da web/do a bit more homework then sleep.
Tuesday
  • Light breakfast (usually edamame beans and a smoothie).
  • Reading homework for Organizational Behavior.
  • Get ready, wait for the shuttle, and go to the tech club meeting.
  • Come back to my apartment for more homework then prepare for dinner.
  • Go to Organizational Behavior then Fundamentals class.
  • Maybe have a group meeting for the Fundamentals web development project.
Wednesday
  • Go to work until lunch time.
  • Have lunch with coworkers or go home to have lunch.
  • Do homework or surf da web.
  • Wait for the shuttle and go to Operations Management class.
  • Come back to my apartment for dinner.
  • Drive off to school for my Management Information Systems class.
  • Surf da web/do a bit more homework then sleep.
Thursday
  • Light breakfast (usually edamame beans and a smoothie).
  • Reading homework for Organizational Behavior.
  • Get ready, wait for the shuttle, and go to the information systems club meeting.
  • Come back to my apartment for more homework then prepare for dinner.
  • Go to Organizational Behavior then Fundamentals class.
Friday
  • Go to work for the regular 8am-5pm hours.
  • Go back to the apartments at school.
  • Have a FriDate dinner with my boyfriend (if time permits).
Saturday
  • Go back to LA to see my parents for the day/night.
  • Go somewhere with my parents.
  • Blog/return comments (depending on how tired I am).
  • Attempt to do homework.
This Week

On Monday, I had lunch with one of my good high school friends who happens to go to another school nearby. We had Mexican food and I ordered myself some shrimp cocktail and shrimp tacos! After eating, I got to tour her school for a bit and I never knew how “homely” a university can be. Classrooms and offices are inside some sort of house-looking (and mansion-looking) buildings. A few days later, I had lunch with another friend at a Korean place and I finally had bibimbap (mixed rice) ☺! *pokes Tara* Annnd yesterday, my boyfriend and I had a FriDate at a different Japanese/”sushi” place nearby. All of their sushi items are either bundled or are off the menu for single rolls. It looks like this place specializes in sashimi platters and other seafood stuff like lobsters. I have been wanting to try uni for the longest and ordered an Uni Bowl (off the menu). The bowl is actually the sea urchin itself and the toppings were stuffed inside. It was delicious and it’s totally worth the price ☺!

Midterms are going great! I’m finished with two and have one more to go on Monday. For my Organization Behavior midterm, I got 128% (amazingly extra credit does exist)! And for Operations Management, I got a 94%. I’m off to a good start in the quarter; hopefully the second half will be just as great.

Sounds like you’re doing just fine! Routines are great for time management and staying sane. Keep it up!

Your week is definitely packed with a lot to do, but I can see that you’ve got a good routine going on. I like how you’re balancing school with social and family life.

And yay for having bibimbap! That bibimbap (well, technically, now it’s called a “DOLSOT bibimbap” — dolsot means it’s in a piping hot stone bowl!) looks delicious! Did it have any spicy pepper sauce? Just wondering since it’s hard to tell in your photo. 😀 But I’m glad you tried a real bibimbap, finally! ^^

Anyway, good luck with the remaining of your midterms! Those are good results you got (128%?! YOWZA! Extra credits, FTW!)! Keep it up! ^^

“eat dinner then do homework” omg this reminds me so much of how i was back in school. the only difference is that i don’t eat dinner so yeah, skipped to homework instantly. i remember battling against annoying ones like physics and maths …. wow, feels so nostalgic all of a sudden (whut?). good thing i don’t have to deal with homework anymore now.. i only have projects to deal with; projects that have long timespan, usually last until mid/final exam LOL i guess this is the pro as a design student, so i believe sometimes.

wow edamame for breakfast! i don’t think i can do that. i always eat edamame for afternoon snacks alongside tea, usually around 3pm. for breakfast, i’m a sucker for bread and milk LOL it’s always bread-milk or oatmeal-milk. then again my eating pattern is so weird. sometimes i don’t eat lunch, sometimes i do but not a proper meal lunch haha

bibimbap! i don’t like korean’s signature dish, the kimchi but i do love bibimbap 🙂 it’s one of my favorite korean dishes, the other being japchae.

YOU WENT FOR SUSHI AGAIN! i swear, man… your diet is only sushi and mexican food lol. for me, it’s really hard to eat sushi; it’s like, only once in a month! sometimes once in a few months because there’s no SUPERBLY AWESOME BADASS sushi place is… and the one my family and i always go for, we only go there to satisfy my sushi craving but that’s it, it’s not superbly awesome or anything. plus, my dad thinks he’s not full after eating sushi…i know, wtf right x__x

my mid term is coming soon too and ugh i have projects that i haven’t touched…yet. some are group based so it’s still pretty alright. the individual one being 3d, sigh…i’m exhausted just thinking about it.

I love the fact you have a weekly routine. I’ve been meaning to get into a routine myself but there seems to be so much variation in my life at the moment.

Wow! Your results are great! 128%? I had no idea you could get extra percentages/credit.

Oh my goodness, you’re so busy! I don’t see how you manage! I mean, it looks like you have everything under control, and that’s good, but goodness. I’m proud of you! And happy for you! Keep it up! You’re almost done!

    Techie Hermione Granger!

    I always tried outlining a routine and sticking to it while I was still a student. I was garbage at that. The closest I came was when I had one week to write a 15-page minimum research paper and I whipped it out in three days, because I hid away upstairs in my parents’ bedroom (they were sleeping downstairs in my sister’s empty room because my dad was recovering from a stroke and stairs were a no-no), where I couldn’t connect to WiFi, and silenced my phone and stuff and stayed there and wrote until I got at least five pages done a day. That’s it. That was the closest. ;3;
