What’s in My Bag [Summer Edition]
July 4, 2015

For a while, I’ve been lurking on Coach’s website looking for a bag I like. I finally found a nice bag in mid-March and ordered it as a self-gift for Winter quarter. The bag, Coach Swagger 27 ended up being on backorder and I didn’t receive it until the first of May. At first, I was impatient to the point where I went to a couple of Coach stores nearby to look for the bag where it was on backorder as well. The wait was certainly worth it because even the box that the bag came in was really nice!

The bag looks nicer in person than the pictures on Coach’s site. The bag is measured as 10 3/4″ (L) x 7 3/4″ (H) x 5 3/4″ (W). I think it’s perfect sized considering how it’s the mid-sized bag compared to the Swagger 37 and wristlet (though I have been tempted to buy the wristlet as well several times). The bag can be worn from the handles or shoulder with the longer strap. Below is a picture of me with the bag going to my boyfriend’s banquet.

Let’s see what’s inside my bag

I. Coach Wristlet: My awesome boyfriend gave me this wristlet on our second anniversary last year. There are 2 zippers where one is for credit cards and cellphone while the other is for cash, stamp cards, and coins. I love this wristlet and it’s great to carry around on its own unless you’re in a sketchy area.

II. Pandora Leather Bracelet, Car Keys, and House Keys: In addition to the new charms my boyfriend gave me recently, a leather bracelet wrap came with the package as well. I’m sporting out the Pandora leather bracelet without the charms intentionally because the charms look better in the metal bracelet. I also have my car keys, house keys to my house, and house keys to my friend’s house who I’m house-sitting for the next month. I collect Disney keychains and try to use some of them. The keychain from my car key was bought by my boyfriend at the Disney’s Soda Fountain & Studio Store from Hollywood, the two from my house keys are from Disneyland when I went in December 2011 with All City Band, and the one from my friend’s house keys is given by one of my band kids when he went to GradNite last year.

III. Journals: My Ardium Planner runs through the summer as well so I decided to utilize the calendar space to write quick notes of what happened or will happen during the day. The Poppin journal is used to write notes from long term goals to other ideas. I also keep some spare pages of a blog planner (made by Jenny of Geeky Posh) in case I want to take quick notes of what I might want to include in a future post. I have a mini binder to help me plan my blog posts from time to time.

IV. iPad Mini, Card, and Check: There was a pretty sweet deal on the iPad Mini 3 where I saved around 35% at Staples so I decided to get one a couple of months ago. I gave my iPad 3 to my grandmother around two and a half years ago and finally got a replacement now. I also have a card from Papyrus that needs to be sent out in a couple of weeks. Lastly on this section, I have a tax refund check I still need to cash in since May… The laziness is real.

V. Lanyard, Lip Gloss, Pens, and Cream: I have a cute lanyard from school (go Broncos!) without any keys attached. I like to keep it around because it’s cute and reminds me where my hard work is getting put into. I use the lip gloss my friend gave me because I lost my other two @___@. Since I have journals in my bag, I need pens to write with! I delegate each color for specific tasks in my planner such as pink: events, blue: personal, purple: summer, and green: general school. I keep cortizone-10 because it works wonders for me.

I do admit, I have a lot of items in my bag, but I somehow found a strategic plan to place everything in there without overfilling it. This is what I have in my bag at the moment since I’m working and everything in the bag is used at some point. If anything, I could try to combine my journal, notes, and planner and store them in my iPad but I still like writing things out.

That is such a pretty bag, Nancy! And it actually looks small, so I was amazed to see how much stuff you carry in it!!!

Yay for the Ardium planner 😀 I also had no idea Jenny made blogging planner sheets. That’s actually kind of cool! 🙂

Also, your iPad Mini case is so pretty! Love the colours, too! Eeee!

That’s a lot of pens. I’m amazed you colour code everything. That would drive me crazy, trying to keep track of what colour is what. But I can see the actual result looking very colourful and organised! So kudos to you for doing that! ^^

I had a great time viewing your bag, Nancy! I look forward to doing it again on my blog with my new bags that come!

That is so good that you really like the bag and that the wait was worth it. It can be really annoying when you can’t get an item you want right away.

I love posts where you see inside someones bag. I have been meaning to do one of these, and will eventually!

Ahahaha, I wasn’t expecting to see grumpy cat at the beginning of your post. Love it!

Self gifts are the best gifts. If I could I would buy myself a gift everyday, haha. Your bag is a beaut! I love the packaging it came in.

    (You super cute, Nance)

I should do one of these… looks like fun!

That’s such a cute bag! I wish I was better with physical planners. I don’t think my days vary enough for one, and I depend too much on Google Keep and phone reminders for everything else.

I’m such a nosy person so I love these posts. Your bag is really pretty! I’d be so worried about owning a white bag though because my handbags tend to get bashed about and I’d end up getting it so dirty.

I totally get what you are saying about having notebooks and an iPad. I have a love for writing things down on paper which is why I choose to write lists etc in my notebook rather than using an app.

For being a coach bag I really like it! I am not really into that brand, but I actually like the simplicity of it, reminds me of a Michael Kors purse saw once. I am a sucker for posts like this.

You are lucky you can get away with a medium bag, I always need a larger one because my boyfriend seems to think he can shove things in my purse no matter what size, its actually pretty hilarious. I usually being my mini iPad and agenda as well but your looks 1000x cuter than mine. I also carry some spare makeup for touch ups, and lots of kleenex. Never know when it can come in handy! Tide to go as well!

That bag is so cute! I’m really envious! ;-; I got a Coach wallet last year for Christmas, we were the outlets in Barstow (or thereabouts) and they were having a holiday sale. It still cost like $99 before tax, though @_@

I need to write up a post like this soon, but I’m so so slow x_x

P.S. I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award! Check out my latest blog post for more info 🙂

I love the new bag you got! It looks like it’d match with a lot of things, and it has an elegant look to it 🙂 The wristlet you have looks really handy, and I like the simple look it has too.

I know the feeling of wanting to write things down. I always have a notebook at work to jot things down, even though I could easily type it on the computer. It’s just not the same though!

I have the iPad Mini 2, and I love its size. It’s a perfect fit for my purse, so I carry it around sometimes too. You have such a pretty case for your iPad Mini!

I carry a lot in my bag too, haha. I now use a purse with several compartments, so I can keep everything organized and find things easily. If you use everything and it fits, then might as well carry it all around 🙂

That bag is gorgeous! I have a few coach bags, that were mostly gifts, but they’re very durable!

Unfortunately I would never buy something so expensive for myself. I really love the bags at Charming Charlie’s and that’s where I buy all of mine now!

Brownie points from me for having a bag in a similar style to mine! I approve. I have one with the handles and a detachable and adjustable longer strap for over-the-shoulder business. I have always loved the longer strap, but it is nice to have a bag that has the smaller handles too, without being too obtrusive.

Looks like you have a lot of stuff in your bag that means a lot to you – and a lot of keys on keyrings too, haha. I have just one set of house keys on a random keychain. Perhaps that is because I don’t really drive my car so I don’t carry those keys.

I have an iPad Mini 2, I think (the one without the Touch ID). I got it for free from my previous workplace. :X Sorry to burst your 35%-off bubble (still a marvellous deal though haha).

My mum was always against me holding my wallet in my hand because I could get mugged. I only hold it when I don’t have pockets to put it in (my wallet is one of the smaller ones that fit in your back jeans pocket).

I used to carry a notebook around with me everywhere but I don’t anymore, I put most of my notes on my phone or iPad.

I organise the stuff in my bag using its many pockets. 😉 Though I think I need to carry a smaller zip bag for my lip glosses/toiletries. XD

aww, nancy wearing ladies baaag xD lovely photo there, haha. honestly, people think i’m now a little bit more feminine because i know how to do makeup and stuff as opposed to how i was back then (you know what they say, “look cute and still kill” :P) but i don’t even have any ladies bag like this! all my bags are like.. cartoon backpacks that look “japanese”-sy so i never took interest in any ladies bag. i mean, i like seeing them but not wearing them. i like chanel’s “bubble”-ish patterned bag though, which is probably their most popular line…i think.

ah wait, i do have one ladies bag which is chanel’s flap bag but it’s buried in my shelf and only used on special occasion lmao

i’m always in awe with “what’s in my bag” posts because you guys have these interesting content like journals and stuff. i look at my daily bag (which is either a backpack or messenger bag) and all i see are gadgets / tech related stuff like portable charger, portable wifi modem, phones, ipad, flash disk…. LOL i don’t even have tissue with me!! unbelievable.
